Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos are officially married. In true billionaire style, they made sure the whole world noticed.
The couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Venice, Italy, on June 27, 2025. About 200 lucky guests graced the event to watch Sánchez walk down the aisle in a white Dolce & Gabbana gown. The beautiful bride took to social media and shared the picture of her wedding outfit.
Jeff Bezos spent $50 million dollars on this wedding. That’s double what the US government was spending annually on food and medicine for 5 million AIDS orphans.

“Not just a gown, a piece of poetry. Thank you @dolcegabbana for the magic you made,” the former Extra correspondent captioned one of her posts.
Milan-based photographer German Larkin captured the big day in photos Sánchez proudly posted to Instagram. Everyone was busy drooling over the dress and the dreamy Venetian backdrops. Comments poured in appreciating the dress and how mesmerizing she looked in it.
However, some eagle-eyed followers noticed something else. Her Instagram got a full makeover.
Sánchez appears to have wiped the old content from her laurenwsanchez account and have come up with a new handle: laurensanchezbezos. Comments on the new account were limited; because if there’s ever a time to control the narrative, it’s your billionaire wedding.

Still, that didn’t stop more than 10,000 people from remarking. The comment section was a swirl of congratulations, snark, and a dash of chaos. Because what’s the internet for, if not unsolicited opinions on other people’s marriages?
Controversial media personality Piers Morgan dropped in with, “Love the dress – many congrats to you both.” Actress Lindsay Lohan kept it classic with, “Stunning.” And singer Jewel exclaimed, “Poetry indeed!!”
Fans also offered genuinely sweet wishes. “May your marriage be filled with endless joy, understanding, and unwavering love. Best wishes for a beautiful future together!” read one heartfelt comment.
But, of course, not everyone was buying the fairytale vibe. One unimpressed viewer shot back, “Oh, please! EMBARRASSING.”
Another, clearly thinking with their wallet, added, “Would love to see that prenup.”
And then there were the folks who noticed the speed of that name change. “She just couldn’t wait to make that name change. I bet she lost sleep over it,” one commenter wrote.
Two others discussed the fresh start. “I liked the ‘reset’ she did on her Instagram feed” and “She had her assistant wipe her Instagram 1 minute after saying ‘I do.’”
Not everyone was there to throw shade, though. One supporter had a kind word for the newlyweds: “My God, how much envy people are feeling about this union. The world no longer makes sense, where people can no longer be happy. May God bless this marriage.”
Bezos and Sánchez, for context, got engaged in May 2023, thanks in part to the Amazon founder’s reported purchase of a $2.5 million, 30-carat engagement ring (because subtlety is overrated).
Both are on marriage number two. Bezos was previously married to MacKenzie Scott from 1993 to 2019. She’s the mother of his four adult children. Sánchez was married to Endeavor executive Patrick Whitesell from 2005 to 2019 and has two kids with him, plus another son from her relationship with former NFL player Tony Gonzalez.
Jeff Bezos is worth $230 billion and is spending $50 million on a 3-day wedding in Venice while sailing around in his $500 million yacht. To put his wealth in context: That’s 0.024% of his worth on a wedding and 0.22% for the yacht. Barely a scratch on his wealth. pic.twitter.com/T80JTxWAzV

Of course, their romance has long been a tabloid favorite. Accusations are that their relationship began as an affair. Neither Bezos nor Sánchez has confirmed they cheated on their exes, but let’s just say the timeline had people raising eyebrows.
And as if the three-day Italian wedding extravaganza wasn’t enough to revive old rumors, reports about Sánchez’s colorful dating history resurfaced, too. She was engaged to sports broadcaster Rory Markas in 2019. Even further back, she was set to marry former Denver Broncos player Anthony Miller before breaking it off in 2000.
Miller didn’t mince words in a 2019 Daily Mail interview. “I couldn’t really trust her,” he said. “She gets around. She was cheating on me with other guys.” For balance, sources claimed Miller was actually the one cheating, with an exotic dancer.
The Bezos-Sánchez wedding was nothing if not unforgettable. And Lauren, at least, seems ready for her next chapter with her new name, new feed, and new husband firmly in place.
