JD Vance and his wife Usha Vance keep making headlines as a couple and not always for the right reasons. Given their widely different backgrounds, they already come under media scrutiny every now and then and the fact that their attempts at PDA mostly feels awkward further add to all kinds of speculations and critical views.
Usha Vance is also significantly different from other MAGA ladies, both regarding her choice of fashion and lifestyle as well her aspirations and ambitions. She keeps her makeup to the minimum and her way of dressing also significantly stands out from the rest of the Republican ladies.
Coming from an Eastern background, it is only natural that Usha and JD Vance would have certain differences regarding their outlook towards life. However, in various interviews, Usha has spoken about this and also shed light on how they make it work. While some of her comments have led netizens to point out that they are a rather weird couple, that has not kept her from speaking her mind.
Recently, on June 25, Usha appeared on Citizen McCain With Meghan McCain podcast. She talked about her days at Yale, where Usha and JD Vance met and fell in love. She also talked about how she enjoys being a mother amid other details of her personal life.

Podcast host Meghan then proceeded to ask a rather serious question, regarding the very possible scenario of JD Vance becoming the President in 2028. She asked Usha, “I wanted to know: Is that stressful for you? Is it exciting? Is that something you think about?”
Usha however, did not show much excitement at the prospect of her husband becoming the President. Explaining her thoughts, she said, she “had absolutely no intention of leading any sort of life in politics” before she became aware of JD Vance’s political ambitions.
She also mentioned that now that her husband is the VP, she considers this phase of her life as “a four-year period where I have a set of responsibilities to my family, to myself, to, obviously, the country.” She further added, “In a dream world, eventually I’ll be able to live in my home and kind of continue my career.”

Usha’s words made it clear that she did not have any desire to get further into a life of politics even if her husband becomes the President. She did not seem keen on becoming the First Lady and instead made it clear that she wanted to have a life of her own without any involvement in the murky world of politics.
Given Usha’s views on her husband’s future political career, it now remains to be seen how it impacts their dynamic as a couple and if JD Vance’s political aspirations take a hit because of his wife’s desire for a different life.
