Donald Trump has a bloody warning for Hamas if Gaza killings are to continue

Donald Trump did pat his own back after his successful attempt at negotiating peace between Israel and Hamas. The U.S. President had expressed confidence that both parties would uphold the ceasefire and that it would surely mark the end of a two-year constant battle that resulted in irreparable bloodshed. The negotiation of peace talks was followed by the release of hostages and prisoners from both sides. At the same time, sceptics were still curious about whether everything would actually fall back into place or not, since both Israel and Hamas have remained at loggerheads for quite some time now.

And now, more recently, Trump himself echoed on what would perhaps happen if the bloodshed of the innocent did not stop in Gaza. Issuing a grim warning against Hamas, the Republican president remarked that the U.S. would have no other choice than to intervene and halt, and perhaps take the final extent of killing Hamas altogether if internal violence continued in the already war-distraught areas. However, Trump did acknowledge that Hamas was victorious in taking on a few gangs and their members from Israel, who were actually bad and had done wrong things in the past.

Expressing his satisfaction on the matter, he said, “That didn’t bother me much, to be honest with you.” Moving further with his warning for Hamas, he then made it very clear that he had limited patience for killings that they were still carrying out against the rival factions, especially in areas that are totally devastated. Trump remarked, “They will disarm, and if they don’t do so, we will disarm them, and it’ll happen quickly and perhaps violently”, signing off with the idea that the U.S. response in this case would be swift and sudden, to put an end to it all.

For the unversed, the Hamas-run police forces had maintained high security after the militants sought power in Gaza, almost 18 years ago. Over the years, the police melted away in large sections, while Israeli forces filled the void and seized major areas of Gaza once more. They directly targeted the Hamas security forces with air strikes.

Meanwhile, on October 13, Donald Trump was one of the first ones to flag off the historic ceasefire between Israel and Hamas with the words “The End of the War”. He had signed a 20-point Gaza peace plan, a comprehensive strategy that focuses on a complete ceasefire, humanitarian aid corridors, and international oversight. This plan was designed to address the root causes of the conflict and ensure a lasting peace. Later, speaking aboard Air Force One, Donald Trump said, “It’s a point in time you’ll never see again. Everybody’s happy—Jewish, Muslim, Arab countries. It’s the first time in 3,000 years that everyone is unified.”

Furthermore, when a reporter from the BBC cross-questioned the U.S. President about whether both parties would uphold the peace, Trump in fact lashed out angrily, defending the success of his peace-making efforts. He then regained composure and added, “I think so. I think it’s gonna hold. I think people are… There are a lot of reasons why it’s gonna hold, but I think people are tired of it. It’s been centuries, okay, not just recent. It’s been centuries. I think people are tired of it, yeah. The ceasefire is gonna hold.”
