Decades after her demise, Marilyn Monroe still remains the epitome of ethereal beauty. She was the girl next door who was everyone’s darling. Women wanted to be, and men wanted her. Yet she lived a life full of melancholy and hurt.
In newly discovered audio recordings, the discussions regarding the final night of her life have again started. The tapes were allegedly collected by surveillance expert Fred Otash. They show heated arguments and confrontations between Monroe and Robert “Bobby” Kennedy a few hours before her death.
These findings provide a unique view into Monroe’s mental anguish. They also show ties to the Kennedys. These tapes and the conversations in them have raised the most important question. What did she know, and who wanted her to be quiet?
In one of the clips, Monroe can be heard expressing rage and despair. She claimed she was treated like “a piece of meat.” She is believed to be talking to Kennedy and is demanding an explanation of their situation. Her tone is intense and hints at deeper emotional wounds and animosity. She seems to be full of these feelings, as if she has been denying them for years.
The tapes also depict a furious confrontation. Monroe is pressuring Bobby Kennedy about her future. He reportedly demanded her to hand over her “little red book.” Marilyn Monroe was a very intelligent and well-read person. It appears she kept a diary on some of the things that go beyond the scope of personal relationships. These could be classified as political notes.
Neighbors also witnessed a tense incident. They reported a loud quarrel, a pause, and then worried whispers. Monroe apparently told Kennedy to lower his voice; She was probably worried about unnecessary attention.
She is said to have been pacing, and she made numerous phone calls.

Later on, Marilyn Monroe reportedly told some of her friends and family that she had “dangerous” information about the Kennedys. People close to her suspected that maybe she was dealing with threats and blackmail, too.
“I know a lot of secrets about the Kennedys,” she allegedly claimed. She was clearly scared of betrayal and secrets.
There are several late-night excerpts that show Monroe discussing “betrayals,” “men in high places,” and moments that will “shock the whole world.” In her last days, she talked a lot about impending consequences. However, it is not clear if she was talking about politics, emotional hurt, or danger to her own life.
These new tapes have also restarted the conversation that Monroe was probably killed and Kennedy was behind it. And it was because she knew too much and could cause damage to the daily name.
There were also rumors of her affair with JFK and that she was pregnant with his child. This conspiracy theory also claims that she was later murdered to stay quiet.
Researchers and historians have been going through the classified FBI and CIA papers to find any record or document of Monroe’s monitoring.
There was apparently a documentary that was produced in 1985 that had some information about these recordings and Monroe’s death. However, it is notable that the documentary was withheld due to pressure from the Kennedy family.
Even after so many years and fresh interest in this case, the assessment of death is still suicide. It was given by the Los Angeles District Attorney in 1982. However, there could be some contradiction to the ruling.
These tapes add a new dimension to Monroe’s dying hours. Yet they fall short of conclusive proof. The speech portrays anxiety, confrontation, and terror. However, there is a lack of context and supporting facts. There is also no time stamp on the recordings, and there is no way for independent verification. These factors add more to the mystery than solve it.
