The tales of Prince William and brother Prince Harry’s turbulent relationship needs no introduction. Amid their highly publicized falling out, the two have remained distant and evidently so. However, the Prince of Wales mentioned his brother Harry in an interview for the first time in months.
In a new episode of Eugene Levy’s series, The Reluctant Traveler, Prince William opened the gates to Windsor Castle for a candid chat. The two talked about family, Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis, how their kids handled the treatment and more. While Prince Harry wasmentioned, there was absolutely no mention of the state of their current relations.
A pleasure to welcome you to Windsor, Eugene!

The Prince of Wales, in a segment of the episode, was asked by the veteran actor about how he feels about his eldest, George, becoming a king one day, to which Prince William replied, “Obviously, I want to create a world in which my son is proud of what we do, a world and a job that actually does impact people’s lives for the better.”
Talking about his “past” (childhood years), Prince William name-checked his brother Harry and told the Schitt’s Creek star, “That is caveated with, I hope we don’t go back to some of the practices in the past, that Harry and I had to grow up in. I’ll do everything I can to make sure we don’t regress in that situation.”
Harry and Prince William have been involved in a very public rift for a while now. Prince Harry visited his father King Charles last month. The two had private tea at the king’s London residence, Clarence House. However, brother William was missing from the royal reunion.
Harry’s memoir, Spare, hit the shelves in 2023, which was full of shocking tell-all tales about the royal family members, including his brother’s wife Catherine and his stepmother Camilla.
In his memoir, Harry alleged that Prince William pushed him to the ground. In his book, Harry alleged that William physically “attacked” him during an argument in the UK in 2019 over his wife Meghan Markle. “He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out,” an excerpt from a chapter of Harry’s book read.
That’s not it. In his Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan, the Duke of Sussex made explosive statements and revelations, among which was one that stated that someone within the royal household planted stories about him and Meghan in the British press. The couple also shed light on the problems they faced in the royal family. He even talked about the “unconscious bias” that existed in the family. “They were happy to lie to protect my brother” while Meghan was “fed to the wolves,” Prince Harry had mentioned during one of the episodes of the docu-series.
During an earlier interview with the TV show Good Morning America, Harry referred to Prince William as “beloved brother and arch-nemesis”. He said during the interview, “There has always been this competition between us, weirdly,” he explained in an interview with the US television show ” set to air next Monday. I think it really plays into, or is played by, the heir/spare.”
Prince Harry stepped away from royal duties in 2020 with wife and former actor Meghan Markle. The couple live in California and are parents to Archie and Lilibet. Prince Harry made a brief appearance on wife Meghan Markle‘s Netflix series, With Love, Meghan Season 1, recently. However, Prince Harry skipped appearing on the second instalment of the show.
