Patrick and Lauren, who were previously married, decided to go their separate ways in 2019. The exes are parents to their daughter, Ella, and son, Evan, from their marriage. The two decided to go their separate ways after Lauren Sánchez’s extramarital affair with Jeff Bezos came to light.
Whitesell is now married to 41-year-old Australian actress and model Pia. The couple was introduced to each other by a mutual friend in 2019. The Australian actress was in Hollywood trying to find work after working on Home and Away back home.
The duo was linked romantically for the first time in 2020 when they were photographed on their Malibu holiday. In that year itself, Whitesell proposed to Pia with an emerald-cut diamond ring. The former model called herself the “luckiest girl in the world” while talking about the proposal.
The couple got married the following year in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their family and friends. By that time, the model had uprooted her life in Sydney and moved to the States with her two sons, Isaiah Loyola and Lennox Miller.

A source close to the couple revealed just how Patrick feels about the upcoming Bezos-Sánchez wedding. “Pat’s having the last laugh, 100 per cent,” the insider told Daily Mail Australia. ‘He’s living the f****** dream with Pia and he knows it,” they added. The same source said they “doubt” Patrick even thinks about Lauren and Jeff or “that whole debacle at all.”
Several other sources close to the couple have testified to them being ideal co-parents to the children. Lauren and Pia are also reportedly friends and remain on good terms.
Bezos and Sánchez, whose relationship started when both were still married to other people, are now gearing up for their wedding. The now-couple’s affair was exposed by the National Enquirer in January 2019.
