Last year, Lara Trump tried to launch her musical career and failed miserably, to say the least. Why, you ask? Well, critics compared her singing to the sound of farm animals screaming. Brutal, right? However, Lara, once known as the daughter-in-law of Donald Trump, is not easily swayed by the criticism, as she has just shown another one of her musical talents.
The Republican politician has found a new stage at the White House despite the failure of her past artistic pursuits. In an Instagram video, which was posted recently, Lara is seen playing the piano. The video, which was captured by the Special Assistant and Communications Advisor Margo Martin, was reshared by the artist herself. However, people have found a new way to troll Eric Trump’s wife, commenting that her latest piano endeavor might just be a desperate attempt to overshadow her past failures.
After the recent video went viral on social media, it became meme material. Many shared a compilation video of her playing the piano, along with the time she tried to debut as a singer with her 2024 song Hero. At that time, the audience was definitely not impressed with her high notes, with many comparing it to the sound of farm animals screaming loudly.
An X (formerly Twitter) user wrote, “Lara Trump‘s Fox debut was a hot mess. Many people are saying she looks like Seabiscuit after plastic surgery. Even her singing voice is bringing out the farm animals.”

Then there was Democratic political strategist Rick Wilson, who commented that her highly autotuned voice sounded like “a wild hog and a sack of rusty cans being thrown into an industrial wood chipper.” As if this wasn’t enough, another person even felt the need to comment on her song’s official YouTube music video: “She should be indicted on 36 counts of felony acoustical assault with a deadly tone.”
A fourth mocked, “It’s not that bad if you turn the sound off. And the picture.” While, at that time, Lara Trump herself kept mum about promoting her debut song, Madeline Jaymes, who co-performed with her couldn’t stop talking about it on her social media.
“I am excited to see what comes next for Lara in the music world. She has monumentally impacted my presence as a young artist in this competitive and ever-evolving environment,” Jaymes wrote on Instagram.

However, despite her many attempts, it seems like Donald Trump‘s daughter-in-law might not have what it takes to launch a successful music career.
Unlike her musical talents, Lara seems to be a suitable candidate for her new Fox News show that premiered in February. She even recently teased an interview with her father-in-law, brewing the excitement.
