Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian wasted no time saying “ciao” to Venice after attending Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s extravagant wedding bash. The sisters were photographed early Saturday morning at Marco Polo Airport.

They were some of the first A-listers to flee the Italian festivities that had the whole city on edge. Wearing workout clothes and oversized shades, the Kardashian sisters looked chill, ready to tackle their close-up paparazzi shots, as always.

Kim, 44, clutched a canned drink and wore black leggings with a dark gray top and white heels, while Khloé, 40, looked sporty in a zipped sweatshirt and white sneakers, notably carrying what appeared to be a yoga mat. Their abrupt departure raised eyebrows, especially as mom Kris Jenner (who had accompanied them to Venice) was nowhere in sight.

Sources told the Irish Star that Kim and Khloé were spotted FaceTiming their children during the reception.

While no one has said for sure why they left early, it’s got many talking that maybe taking care of their kids was the reason. They were some of the first to leave the fancy wedding on Friday night, even before everyone had a last toast.

A Kardashian Wedding Whirlwind

When the Kardashians touched down in Venice on Thursday, June 26, all eyes were on their lavish looks. As reported by People magazine, Kim and Kris coordinated in black, while Khloé made a statement in a leopard-print catsuit and stilettos. The sisters were seen arriving by boat and walking the gangway in true reality TV royalty fashion.

But underneath the glitz, fans questioned if the quick two-day trip was more for optics than an actual celebration.

For the wedding itself, Kim went for a minimalist brown leather bodycon dress with beachy waves, while Khloé shimmered in a pink sequined gown with feather-trimmed sleeves. Matching sunglasses and duck-face selfies on the water taxi added to their signature flair. Younger sister Kendall Jenner joined later in the evening, posing against Venice’s famed architecture.

Kylie Jenner, too, was spotted boarding a boat in a white corset-style dress.

Despite their brief attendance, the Kardashians were among the most visible stars at the event, capturing headlines and dominating social media feeds. As for Kris Jenner, her noticeable absence from the airport sparked further questions about whether she stayed behind or exited more discreetly.

The Wedding That Took Over Venice

While the Bezos-Sánchez wedding attracted A-listers like Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Brady, and Usher, not everyone was rolling out the red carpet. Protestors flooded Venice in the days leading up to the ceremony, furious over the privatization of public spaces and the city’s temporary transformation into a billionaire’s playground.

A massive banner in St. Mark’s Square reading “If you can rent Venice for your wedding, then you can pay more tax,” became a viral protest moment. Later on, there were Bezos mannequins around the city, with people flashing fake money and a jab at the sheer tone-deafness of the billionaire celebration that was clearly unwelcome. Yet unavoidable.

Security was tight through the weekend to prevent interruptions to the curated festivities.

Yet, even amid the drama, Kim found time to snap selfies from the taxi ride, reaffirming the Kardashians’ knack for staying on brand, no matter the setting. Their swift exit, however, ensured they avoided the protest fallout and post-wedding media scrum, flying out just as other guests were soaking up their final Venetian sunrise.
