All is not well between Iran and Israel, and the world has seen it! Even alleged peacemaker Donald Trump has failed to establish peace between the two countries. The ugly war began when Israel launched large-scale airstrikes across Iran, targeting nuclear and military facilities in Natanz, Fordow, Isfahan, and Tehran. Dozens of Iranian military personnel, IRGC leaders, and scientists were reportedly killed on June 13, 2025.

Since Israel and America have been great friends and strong allies, and Iran and America hate each other, Donald Trump warned everyone that America might back Israel and attack Iran after reports of them developing nuclear ambitions surfaced in media.

As per reports, under Operation Midnight Hammer, the American military launched over two dozen Tomahawk cruise missiles at the Isfahan nuclear site, coinciding precisely with the B-2 bombers’ silent entry into Iranian airspace on June 21, 2025.  Following the bombing, the Islamic state immediately retaliated with missiles at a U.S. base in Qatar (Al Udeid) on June 23; no casualties were reported, and all missiles were intercepted.

After a lot of distress and global pressure, Donald Trump announced a ceasefire between Israel and Iran on June 23, just days after the attack, through his social media platform Truth Social. However, the deal was violated just hours after the announcement, leaving Trump frustrated as he yelled in front of the media before leaving for the NATO summit in the Netherlands.

As the uncertainty about the future of the deadly war loomed, in his first public appearance since the infamous ceasefire, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei blamed U.S. President Donald Trump, accusing him of exaggerating the impact of recent American airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.

Khamenei claimed Iran emerged victorious in the conflict. In addition, in a televised speech aired on Iranian state TV, Khamenei claimed the U.S. only got involved in the recent conflict because it feared Israel, which he referred to as the “Zionist regime,” would be defeated entirely without America’s help.

Furthermore, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei declared Iran the winner in the 12-day war and claimed that their quick attack with missiles at a U.S. base in Qatar (Al Udeid) on June 23 was a “slap” to America’s face. On a furious note, he said that the fact that the Islamic Republic has access to critical American bases means that it can take further actions, and then the U.S. will “pay a heavy price.”

“This is not a small thing—it’s a big deal and can happen again,” the popular political figure added. Both countries recently settled on a ceasefire after 12 days of intense fighting. The conflict escalated when the U.S. joined Israel in targeting three Iranian nuclear sites.

According to Iranian officials, the prolonged war killed 606 people and injured over 5,300. Meanwhile, despite the two countries violating the truce and the ceasefire, reports suggested that life had begun to return to normalcy in cities like Tehran, with shops reopening and traffic picking up. While Iran portrays resilience and victory, Israel remains rebellious in its stance. (via TIME).

As the global chaos and anxiety loom, the shadow of the war remains persistent. For now, the war has paused, but the danger hasn’t gone away in the Middle East. We hope for the best and pray for all the affected communities and individuals.
