Whatever you post online can come back to haunt you for different reasons. This is what’s happening in the case of President Donald Trump, whose twelve-year old tweets are going viral now. The reason is the current Iraq-Israel conflict and Trump’s decision to strike them. At that time when Barack was president, Trump had criticized him for the same thing he’s doing now.

His post contradicts his actions now, as the conflict with Iran escalated on Sunday and resulted in the US attacking Iran with three strikes. The US’ midnight hammer operation assisted Israel in its Rising Lion operation by striking Iran’s nuclear facilities. Trump went ahead and boasted about his accomplishments. However, his 2013 post is coming back to bite him.

In the post, he had written how he predicted Obama would attack Iran since they could not negotiate with the US. His tweet reads, “Remember that I predicted a long time ago that President Obama will attack Iran because of his inability to negotiate properly, not skilled.”

Now more than a decade later, Trump is in conflict with Iran, which could end up in a full-on war. Meanwhile, Obama had signed a nuclear program deal with Tehran to end their program in 2015.

Trump negated all this effort by walking out of the deal in 2018 during his first term as president. Now, Iran plans to retaliate and defend itself from Israel and the US joining each other. Over the years, there have been diplomatic restraints and peace talks, but that hasn’t worked yet. Trump’s stance on war is way different than it was when Obama was in power. He was quick to criticize him. However, now he’s proud of the attack on Iran as he posted monumental damage done to all nuclear sites in Iran. Apart from the satellite imagery confirmation, the real damage to the nuclear site is not confirmed as the centrifuges were buried deep.

We may not know the real damage the US may have caused. However, according to two Israeli officials, Iran moved 400 kilos of Uranium from the plant even before the US strikes. So, they may have been able to outsmart the attack. They may have expected this attack and planned this clever move.

His social media post is boastful about the attack that destroyed deeply buried Uranium centrifuges in the Fordow nuclear plant. The US carried out the operation using 75 precision-guided ammunition. People are criticizing Trump for his decision to attack Iran. At the start of his second term, he had made claims to have a war-free world.

There goes his Nobel Peace prize, as no matter how many leave treaties he comes up with, his attack on Iran will be a highlight of his term. The military also used bunker-busting bombs and Tomahawk missiles during the attack. This was confirmed by General Dan Caine, the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
