Fights are inevitable between couples and the same applies to the American President and the First Lady. Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump are just like any other couple when it comes to having fights and Melania’s way of showing her anger had caused public humiliation to Trump as she had canceled her 2018 trip to Davos, Switzerland, with Trump and his aides.
While it might seem like Melania had to cancel the trip because something more important had come up, that was not the case. It was during that time that the news of Donald Trump paying hush money to p-rn star Stormy Daniels broke as she claimed that the American President had paid her $130,000 to keep silent about their one night stand.
Though Daniels’ claims were not confirmed yet, Melania was obviously not happy with the news and instead of creating a public scene, she decided to make a silent statement by cancelling her plans of going with Trump. She knew her decision would attract the spotlight and that was her intention.
The same was confirmed by Stephanie Grishman, Melania’s spokesperson during that time as she spoke to Katie Rogers, journalist and biographer, who shared the details in her book American Woman: The Transformation of the Modern First Lady, from Hillary Clinton to Jill Biden.

Rogers wrote in the book, “Grisham, who traveled with her on that jaunt, said that the First Lady had wanted to communicate her anger to the president.” Grisham also talked to her about Melania’s move being conscious and intentional, as Rogers wrote, “I think she was pissed at Trump and wanted him to be a little humiliated that she took off.”
Melania’s decision during that time showed that she was not scared of doing what she felt right and that is a quality that she maintains till now. Despite rumors about her prolonged absence from The White House during Trump’s second term as the President hinting at troubles between her and Trump, Melania ensures that she does what she finds the best, without caring about what people are saying.

She also recently issued a statement addressing the rumor about Barron Trump being a Harvard reject. Since the Trump administration is now in a legal battle with the esteemed university, Barron has somehow gotten entangled in the whole thing with the many people claiming that Trump’s anger at Harvard comes from the fact that the university had rejected his son.
Melania however, made it clear that Barron had never applied to Harvard and thus the question of being rejected does not arise.
