Donald Trump claims the US strike destroyed Iran nuclear facilities

Donald Trump is certain that the U.S.’s strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities caused “total obliteration.” On the other hand, multiple reports claim the exact opposite. Here’s what the U.S. President is claiming and what the truth behind the situation is.

Trump has taken countless opportunities to take a victory lap about how “completely and totally obliterated” Iran’s nuclear enrichment facilities were following the strike. He even claimed that Iran did not have a chance to get anything out because America “acted fast.”

The 79-year-old even took the chance to compare the strike to the historic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.”That hit ended the war. I don’t want to use an example of Hiroshima. I don’t want to use an example of Nagasaki, but that was essentially the same thing,” Trump noted.

He did not stop there, the President added how the strike is what put an end to the Israel-Iran war. He went on to claim that the two nations would still be “fighting” if the U.S. “didn’t take that out.”

It also seemed to have a bone to pick with the media outlets while he labelled them as “scum.” CNN, The New York Times, and MSNBC were the subjects of Trump’s newest passionate rant. The President’s frustrations with the media outlets come after they published stories debunking Trump’s claims.

The articles claimed that Iran’s nuclear facilities weren’t “totally obliterated” as the President previously claimed. “CNN is scum and so is MSDNC,” Trump alleged on Tuesday appearing visibly furious. He took to Truth Social to claim that CNN publishes “fake news” and labelled The New York Times as “FAILING.”

He also claimed that the outlets were teaming up to “DEMEAN ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL MILITARY STRIKES IN HISTORY. He stood by his original claim by noting that Iran’s nuclear sites were in fact “COMPLETELY DESTROYED,” while adding that these two media outlets were “GETTING SLAMMED” by the public.

This isn’t the first time the President has bumped heads with CNN either. During his 2016 presidential campaign, the President claimed that the outlet put out fake news. CNN published an article earlier this week claiming that “Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium was not destroyed.” Two insiders who saw the early assessment claimed that “the centrifuges are largely intact.”

This claim evoked even more members of the Trump administration to come forward and refute it. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Marco Rubio both stand by Trump’s claim of the nuclear site facing “complete and total obliteration.”

Hegseth also revealed that the FBI would be launching an investigation into who leaked preliminary intelligence findings. JD Vance also attested to Iran’s bomb’s being “buried.”

“Our goal was to bury the uranium, and I do think the uranium is buried, but our goal was to eliminate the enrichment and eliminate their ability to convert that enriched fuel into a nuclear weapon,” the Vice President claimed in an interview with Fox News. As of now, U.S. officials have failed to verify the location of Iran’s uranium stockpile.
