Jeff Bezos is headed to marry Lauren Sanchez with the festivities starting on June 24th in Venice. This is a long awaited celebration for their friends and family. Several Hollywood personalities and politicians will be part of the intimate wedding. There will be about 200 guests at the wedding including Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, Oprah Winfrey and Ivanka Trump.
Amidst the wedding prep there’s bad news for Jeff. One notable update about one of richest men is that he no longer holds the second richest man title. Jeff’s current wealth is at $228 billion. The founder of Oracle, Larry Ellison gained $26 billion in stocks, making his wealth more than $243 billion.
This surpassed Bezos’ total wealth and dropped his global ranking. Ellison overtook Bezos by billions right before his wedding. Ellison owns about 43% of the company which is comparable to what Jeff has. While Mark Zuckerberg, meta CEO HAD $239 billion. Musk still remains the richest person at $400 billion followed by Larry.
Oracle’s market cap stands at a whopping $528 Billion today.

Despite his very public bromance breakup and meltdown about Trump, Elon has managed to stay at the top. In fact, his rise in fortune came after he apologized and posted how much he regrets taking it too far. He called out Trump for being part of Epstein’s files and even supported his impeachment. Later, he deleted most of the posts. Trump wishes him well, and it looks like they’ll make up for good.
Bezos at 4th position in the ranking comes right before the oldest billionaire Warren Buffett whose fortune is $152.1 billion. Larry Page, Bernard Arnault and Sergey Brin are also in the list of top ten richest people.
Bezos has also signed a prenup before marrying Lauren in an attempt to save his $220 million fortune. The specific details of the prenup are not available however Sanchez may get a million dollar for each year they stay married.

After his first divorce, Bezos lost half his fortune due to a lack of prenup. So, the prenup this time will protect him from any setbacks, but his position as the world’s richest business is also shaky. Earlier, it was speculated that Bezos would spend hundreds of millions on his wedding.
Since it’s an intimate affair, he will be spending just $10 million, which will be 0.005% of his net worth. Maybe not going too extravagant on his wedding was the right decision as stocks and markets keep changing.
Dropping down in the ranking might have been a big jolt for Bezos as Oracle got more revenue than expected. Bezos got to be the second richest person in 2017 as his fortune reached 75.6 billion. He has gained considerable fortune after that but the ranking has dropped.
