Karoline Leavitt may be President Donald Trump’s sharp-tongued Press Secretary, but she’s also emerging as an unexpected headline-maker when it comes to fashion, especially when her legs take center stage.

The youngest person to ever hold the press secretary role, Leavitt isn’t just sparring with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins or doubling down on MAGA talking points. She’s also turning the West Wing into something of a personal runway. Unlike her predecessors, think Sean Spicer or Sarah Huckabee Sanders, whose wardrobes were largely forgettable, Leavitt’s style has become a hot topic.

Well yes, her questionable color choices and awkward fringe to outright dowdy dresses, has raised eyebrows. But what’s most puzzling? Her reluctance to flaunt one of her best assets: her legs. Turns out, when she ditches the granny ruffles and trusts her legs to do the talking, she actually delivers.

Despite confidently posting swimsuit snaps on social media, Leavitt seems to shy away from shorter hemlines while on official duty. Still, on a few occasions, she’s surprised onlookers with looks that offered more than just soundbites.

Take, for instance, the pastel green dress with puffed sleeves and ruffles she wore on a White House workday. The only thing making it all look a little closer to Leavitt’s 1997 birth year instead of a 1957 fashion year was the short hem and her bare legs.

Nude heels sealed the deal, offering just enough glam to make the outfit work.

Then came January 2025, when she faced Washington D.C.’s winter chill in what might be her most polarizing outfit to date. The cherry-red dress she wore to the Brady Press Briefing Room stopped just above the knee, ruffled hem and all.

While critics debated the bold color and style, it was what she wore below that sparked a fresh wave of buzz; knee-high black boots and opaque tights that offered warmth and a heavy dose of leg drama.

Slit Decision in the West Wing

One particularly revealing moment came as Leavitt strutted into the West Wing in a mint-green number that was modest in the front, but cheekily rebellious from the side. A thigh-high slit exposed far more leg than expected, with each step revealing a noticeable tan-line mishap.

Her legs looked several shades lighter than her sun-kissed face and arms. Of course it drew comparisons to Trump’s famously uneven glow.

Mini Skirt, Major Moment

But perhaps her boldest look didn’t happen inside the White House, it happened in front of it. Back in September 2024, long before Trump returned to power, Leavitt posed for a campaign shot standing tall in front of a giant image of the White House.

She rocked a plaid two-piece suit with gold chains and a mini skirt that left little to the imagination. With nude pumps adding to the all-legs illusion, it was clear she was making a style statement well before taking the press secretary podium.

Love it or loathe it, Karoline Leavitt’s fashion continues to keep Beltway watchers on their toes, and their eyes decidedly south of the knee.
