A Black woman found herself in a concerning situation when a white man approached her while she was walking on a residential sidewalk in Indianapolis. The white man was driving a black Dodge Challenger with no license plate.
He approached the woman in a very disturbing manner, saying, “What if I jumped out and took it from you?” he approached the black woman with what looked like an alleged proposition for s–. When she said no, he got hostile and threatened to jump out of the car.
The video of their encounter was posted on the I Expose Racists and Pedos X account, which has more than 300K followers. The woman was brave enough and put the man back in place, replying, “You would die,” as she showed her gun to him. When he saw the gun, the man backed down and tried to dismiss his creepy behavior as a joke
He then said, “Oh, you got one of them? Nah, I was just kidding. I was just kidding. I was talking s—.” He turns his car quickly and drives away. A local news outlet, Black Indy Live, also posted the video in an attempt to find the man.
The caption of the video explains the premise further: “A young Black woman says she was followed by an alleged predator from the FasMart gas station at Morris & Harding on the southwest side of Indianapolis. This video is being shared as a warning and a call for help in identifying him. We are asking the community to help identify this individual so that proper steps can be taken to protect others.”

So far, the man hasn’t been located, and there have been no arrests. This is the case of racism as well as attempted assault. For the safety of the woman, she remains anonymous despite putting up a brave face when the man approached her. If she hadn’t been armed at that time, things might have gone differently.
According to the DOJ, 29% of victims reported assaults when they were commuting, and 23% of the assaults between 2019 and 2023 happened in public spaces. This makes the safety of women critical. Since Indiana is an open carry state, many X users who saw the video suggested that women carry to safeguard themselves.
Viewers found the video to be extremely disturbing. One user added, “Get the license plate. The next woman probably won’t have a weapon.” Another one added, “I’m so glad for her. They love messing with what they think are soft targets, Black Women & Children. Cowards.”
