Charlie Kirk, a well-known Donald Trump ally, died at the age of 31 after a bullet struck his neck while answering questions at an on-campus debate in Utah. His assassin is still at large, as the manhunt continues. His sudden death sent a shockwave through the conservative political circles, with Trump even calling it the “dark moment for America.”
Kirk died, leaving behind his wife, Erika, and two children – one son and one daughter. As the mystery behind his assassination intensifies, several political figures expressed their condolences, including Barack Obama.
The Democratic former POTUS, whose ideology definitely doesn’t align with Kirk’s, tweeted, “We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy.” He added, “Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.”
However, many of his critics and the MAGA circles didn’t like his tweet. “Obama, with all due respect, sit this one out. Please. You guys are making things worse with these fake condolences. Just stop it,” one X (formerly Twitter) user wrote in the comment section of his post.

Another simply added, “Yes, you do,” referring to his saying that the reason behind his assassination is still unknown. A third blamed Obama, saying, “You started this,” without providing further context. One user added some context, commenting, “Those of us who remember clearly your 8 years in office know the division that exists in America today found its beginnings with you.”

“Look in the mirror. That’s a good start,” another slammed the former President. Most of the comments from MAGA loyalists seem to be pointing fingers at Barack Obama for what happened to Charlie Kirk. “You are to blame,” one user wrote, while the other echoed, “YOU STARTED THE HATE IN OUR COUNTRY.”
Some other comments shared the same sentiment. “No one wants your prayers,” wrote one user. Another added, “You have destroyed a great country. You are a scourge on the planet. We will right the ship.” A third slammed, “Why did you have to start with that sentence? For once, could you just drop the self-righteous qualifications? It’s not helping keep the peace. It’s highly likely they were politically motivated. You could have started with “this kind of…”
Although the motive behind his assassination is yet to be revealed, at least publicly, Kirk’s death has solidified the division between the liberals and conservatives in America at a moment when the country is already divided over multiple things.

Yes having a Black President did bring out the hatred in this country again. No doubt about that……
You all better look at YOUR BOY tRump! He is the one who makes you All HATEFUL!!!!
How Obama can be blamed for this is ludicrous! He was about bringing the country together. He never withheld his taxes, he never belittled anyone, he didn’t call people names or say they were stupid, or second rate! ! Trump lives for making everything about him and screws everyone else . You can’t blame anyone but your President as he set the tone for all the hate and fear.
