Speculation about Donald Trump’s cognitive decline has been a constant topic of discussion ever since he began his second term in January 2025. While the administration constantly tried to show a perfect report to the press when it came to the 79-year-old’s overall health details, many psychologists and critics have claimed that the reality has been far from what we are told.

The latest scoop is that the 79-year-old abruptly terminated all trade negotiations with Canada on Thursday, reportedly furious over a $75 million ad campaign launched by the Ontario government earlier this month. The advert, which aired on major U.S. networks, featured audio of former President Ronald Reagan warning about the negative side of tariffs.

As per The Irish Star, in the clip, Reagan, a revered conservative icon, can be heard saying that tariffs “hurt every American worker and consumer.” Trump was quite upset after the advertisement and took to Truth Social and called the  video “FAKE” and “egregious.”

He accused the Ronald Reagan Foundation of fraud, alleging that the footage had been “manipulated” to damage his trade policies and influence ongoing court decisions. While Trump’s post showed how angry he was, the ad used real stills from Reagan’s 1987 presidential radio address about free and fair trade.

People on social media were shocked to witness such a swift and abrupt reaction from Trump, and they immediately slammed his remarks and claimed that he seemed mentally unwell. One user wrote, “Empirical evidence of dementia,” while another quipped, “Dementia Don should be sleeping, not tweeting.”

Trump’s decision to suspend trade talks would further increase political tensions with Canada. His administration had already imposed a 35% levy on a wide range of Canadian imports in what he called a “protection of U.S. jobs and industries.”

Just hours before the announcement, the two leaders had shared a casual moment betting on which team would win the World Series: the Toronto Blue Jays or the Los Angeles Dodgers. While White House authorities are yet to comment about this shocking gesture by the president, financial experts warn that the move could have some significant repercussions, potentially impacting billions in cross-border commerce.

With a sudden government shutdown impacting several sectors in the country, Trump, acting impulsively, or what online users claimed as “a toddler’s behavior,” could harm America in ways that could be concerning.

Meanwhile, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute released a statement on X clarifying that Ontario officials had used “selective” clips from Reagan’s 1987 speech without permission, and they are currently reviewing legal options.

Furthermore, speaking on The Daily Beast Podcast, former Johns Hopkins psychologist Dr John Gartner has warned that President Donald Trump is displaying a “massive increase” in clinical signs of dementia, which he says is worsening the president’s “malignant narcissism.”

Dr John Gartner claimed that Trump often deviates from one topic to another during interviews and speeches, and the shifts make no linear sense. According to Gartner, these linguistic slips, known as phonemic paraphasia, are not ordinary aging mistakes but signs of neurological issues.

He also highlighted personality issues as he spoke about the traits of a malignant narcissist, which is a special category of narcissists with high levels of assertiveness, ego, and superficial need for admiration, all a hoax mask in front of the world.

“He could wake up in a state of complete confusion and erratic irritation and do something catastrophic,” Dr John Gartner warned while talking on the podcast.
