Most people would say that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are the perfect couple goals. Ever since they met in 2016, the couple has become inseparable, standing by each other’s side through thick and thin.
They ultimately tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in 2018. However, their royal dream life was disrupted in the middle, followed by their very public exit from the family.
They endured it all together. In fact, their public disclosure of love for each other is what makes them stronger, as many think. However, that doesn’t mean that Harry has always been a lover boy like this. Some of his exes definitely have some stories to share.
Cassie Sumner, the glamour model, had a brief fling with a royal family member in the early 200s. During a 2004 interview with The Mirror, the model recalled that she was invited to the Prince’s table at a nightclub. “It was certainly a close encounter of the royal kind. It’s not every day you have a real-life Prince Charming coming on to you.”
However, the encounter couldn’t result in much as Sumner was not very interested in his physique. “If I’m honest, I didn’t really fancy Harry. I prefer more muscles in a man,” she recalled. Apart from that, she didn’t have many negative things to say about the Prince.
“He came across as a lovely lad who was just enjoying a normal night out like any red-blooded single 19-year-old. Anyway, I can’t see myself getting invited home for tea with Prince Charles and Camilla!”
Before meeting Meghan Markle, Harry had a real romance with Cressida Bonas. He dated her from 2012 to 2014. However, their relationship was highly publicized and ultimately it was marred by all the media attention. Although, she herself wasn’t a fan of the media, still she felt that Harry was way too paranoid about it.
In his book Battle of Brothers, Robert Lacey wrote, “[Bonas] complained to friends that Harry has a neurosis about the media.” He added that according to Harry’s ex-girlfriend, he would “rant and complain about paparazzi lurking where clearly there were none.” This thing eventually deteriorated their relationship and the two parted ways. However, although they were not lovers anymore, Bonas and Harry mended their fences. In 2018, when the royal Prince married Meghan, she also attended the ceremony.

Prince Harry had a seven-year-long relationship with Chelsy Davy. Some even say that she was his best ex. However, they also had their own issues, as Davy reportedly had doubts about Harry’s loyalty. “She had told her friends in South Africa that she was in the relationship for the long term but was worried about her boyfriend’s roving eye,” biographer Katie Nicholl wrote in her 2011 book The Making of a Royal Romance.
