Donald Trump’s recent behavior has sparked concerns about his mental health yet again. The President has been suffering bouts of ‘irritability and outbursts,’ according to a source close to him. Here’s why Trump’s inner circle is worried about his well-being.
Speculation about the President’s mental health deteriorating has been around since he has aged significantly compared to his first term. Up until now, the rumors have been just that, speculation. Reportedly, an anonymous White House official seems to have confirmed the widespread speculation.
David Shuster, who is an American journalist, shared what someone on Trump’s team told him. “Trump’s White House staff, who wished to remain anonymous, say the president’s irritability, confusion, and memory loss are all getting worse,” Shuster noted.
He went on to explain how all the above-mentioned things are symptoms of dementia. The journalist also reveals how Trump’s “ increased irritability and outbursts” have caused reporters to get even more inquisitive, as per a report by Irish Star.
Shushter claims that White House staff have admitted that the President has been having “eruptions” that are growing “frequent and unpredictable.” This is another sign of dementia. “So is Donald Trump suffering from the same cognitive decline that eventually claimed the life of his father, Fred Trump?” Shuster speculated.

He also went on to note how not all dementia involves a genetic component. “Friends of President Trump say an erosion like his dad is Donald’s biggest fear,” the journalist claims. Schuster further pointed out how if the rumors about the President’s mental decline are true, they could result in the whole country suffering the consequences of it.
He spoke about how the symptoms that Trump is exhibiting should be “frightening” to Americans. “Damaging and unconstitutional Trump’s policies may be, his inability to grasp reality and speak rationally will make everything even worse,” the journalist added.
Trump’s nephew himself has spoken about the widespread speculation. Fred Trump (who shares the same name as Donald Trump’s father) drew parallels between the President and his father’s “decline” in mental health. “If anyone wants to believe that dementia did not run in the Trump family, it’s just not true,” he noted.

Donald Trump’s father, Fred Trump, passed away in 1999 because of pneumonia and Alzheimer’s. He was diagnosed with dementia 8 years before he met his demise. A few rare types of dementia can be affected by a genetic link.
Timothy L. O’Brien, who serves as a senior executive editor of Bloomberg Opinion, recently spoke about the President’s alleged mental decline. “He lives in fear of going down the path his father went down,” he said in a conversation with MSNBC. O’Brien notes that Trump has likely “carried” the burden of that all his life.
