Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and fiancé Lauren Sanchez are going to tie the knot real soon. You may have heard about the April Blue Origin expedition that took a group of celebrities on a thrill ride into the sky. The PR stunt quickly became a nightmare as pictures of the “crew” of celebrities wearing matching violet jumpsuits went viral online.
Space travel is being revolutionized by Blue Origin, a space tourism corporation. The missions are seen as an important initial step toward future space exploration, despite the fact that they do not travel very far into space. However, a lot of people have condemned space tourism as a wasteful use of funds that could have a significant impact if they were used in other ways.
However, the group returned safely, perhaps with a renewed appreciation for our planet. But the excessive consumption didn’t stop there. Lauren Sanchez, the fiancée of billionaire Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, received a $7,000 purse from the Kardashians for making it through the short 11-minute tour to the edge of space.
The purse was described as a “dazzling Judith Leiber Couture UFO-shaped clutch” by Mariam Qayum of She Finds. The striking piece, which was originally sold for $6,995, was covered in baguette and geometric crystals. The same criticism was directed at the flight and the purse.
“Lauren Sanchez is being criticized for preaching about climate change just weeks after she jetted into space for 11 minutes – and days after she was seen canoodling with husband-to-be Jeff Bezos on his $500 million superyacht in the South of France.”

“It’s just so tone deaf,” “maybe just suggesting that money could’ve gone to better causes that are needed,” and “that money could have been used to feed several families in need” were among the social media responses, according to She Finds. The crowd responds to the wasteful Blue Origin flight with a similar message.
It might be discouraging to witness the world’s wealthiest people doing the opposite action while common people change their lifestyles to reduce the burden on Earth’s resources. “And to think that every time I throw away a toothbrush I still feel guilty for the unrecycled plastic,” one user wrote on a Blue Origin Instagram photo.

According to Oxfam, billionaires produce a million times more carbon emissions than the general public. Between private planes, yachts, and the shady energy firms that millionaires own and control.
“This must be altered. Climate breakdown is mostly the fault of these billionaire investors at the top of the business pyramid. “They have avoided responsibility for far too long,” stated Oxfam CEO Danny Sriskandarajah. “This feels like a nightmare,” summarized one flight critic on Instagram.
