JD Vance recently revealed the name of the world leader he and Donald Trump are fond of. He noted that they truly enjoy her company. The Vice President has recently been meeting with various world leaders across the world, being the messenger for everything the President wants to achieve this term.

Vance’s globetrotting agenda has taken him to highly anticipated encounters in India, Paris, Munich, and Greenland. On the other hand, Trump had only been on two overseas trips so far.

It turns out that both of them have the same favorite when it comes to world leaders. After touching down in Washington on Tuesday, JD spoke with NBC News. He returned from Rome and revealed that he and Trump truly enjoyed being in the company of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

He told NBC News, “One leader that both of us have consistently found is a really helpful bridge between the United States and Europe is Meloni.” The Vice President added that the far-right European leader is a “very good listener” and “extraordinary direct.”

“If you have two people who really disagree on something, she tries to understand where both of them are coming from,” JD Vance said. “And she’s perceptive and insightful enough that she actually understands it,” he added.

He further added that the Italian Prime Minister reminded him of his own wife, Usha Vance. “She actually reminds me a little bit of Usha in that way, where she can deliver an extraordinarily direct message without coming across as offensive.”

He added, “That’s just a skill, right? There’s a skill in actually being direct with somebody but not raising their guard.” Vance’s statement came after he had a meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen at the Chigi Palace in Rome. Notably, Meloni broke the meeting down. The American Vice President discussed Europe’s reaction to Trump’s tariffs and the adversarial approach that could be taken.

Speaking with the NBC, he said, “When we first started sketching out the trip, I thought, ‘Oh, this is kind of nice. We’ll go to the papal Mass, Usha and I will have lunch afterwards,  and just kind of take it easy on Sunday and fly home Sunday night or Monday.”
He continued, “It was a very personally rewarding trip. Once you’re here and there are all these other world leaders here, you might as well try to try to sit down with them and talk to them.”
