According to Glasses Malone, Kendrick Lamar might respond to Joey Bada$$ soon. Malone has been taking Lamar’s side since he was mentioned in the Squabble Up rapper’s Grammys speech earlier this year. He thinks that his fellow Compton native has a good response ready for Joey’s latest diss track aimed at the West Coast “Crash Dummy”.
In this track, the New Yorker blatantly disrespected Lamar, taunting him as the Grammy winner was afraid of battling him. “Thank you for making it clear that Dot scared, but yeah / I was at the party, but I also saw Top there,” he rapped.
Following the diss, one X (formerly Twitter) user enquired, “Do you think Kendrick should respond to Joey?” Glasses Malone, who shares a close bond with Lamar, reposted it with the caption, “Joey know sure as shit bars are coming his way. When is the question.”
However, this wasn’t the first time Bada$$ took a blatant shot at the Not Like Us rapper. In his previous diss track My Town, he says, “I’m the real boogeyman, y’all n-ggas should be afraid / Get the general, I’m killing his troops.”
He also added, “Don’t make me Pulitzer, better be wise because / I’m dottin T’s and cross your eyes like Whitaker.”

Joey first began taking shots at the West Coast with The Ruler’s Back, a track he released in January. In this drop, he spat, “Too much West Coast d—ck lickin’ / I’m hearing n-ggas throwin’ rocks, really ain’t shit stickin’ / ‘Cause if we’re talking bar for bar, really it’s slim pickings / I rap like I draw pentagrams and k—ll chickens, n-gga / F—ck around with your soul like Ether, quick for a feature / This that black Air Force energy comin’ out your speaker.”
Although he has been basically begging Lamar to battle him, for now, he is stuck at exchanging disses with TDE rapper Rey Vaughn and Daylyt.
In his recent diss track aimed at Vaughn, The Finals, Bada$$ says, “I salute you Kenny but I know you well aware / You lookin’ for some competition? Then just know that I’ll be right here.”
He adds, “The way you let Dot d—ck sit in your mouth / This that same d—ck linkin’ I was talkin’ about / You n-ggas would do anything for the clout / Crash out over n-ggas who won’t even let you in they house / I bet you ain’t even got his number/It’s funny how the thirst is bein’ disguised as hunger.”
Meanwhile, while Lamar has yet to respond to Joey’s repeated disses, he spent a long time beefing with Drake, and a few great songs came out from their feud, Not Like Us, for example.
