Let’s talk about the Trump family! They say that with fame, one sacrifices a lot of things, but the greatest of all is the freedom just to be! When someone is the son of the President of the United States, the media does not follow them. Still, the paparazzi stay relevant by being around them. From what they eat, water, and hang out with, everything is watched like a ticking clock.

In comparison, we have previously discussed Donald Trump’s love for McDonald’s burgers and fast food. This time, let’s have a look at Barron Trump‘s diet.

As the youngest son of Donald and Melania Trump, Barron has grown up in the spotlight while maintaining a notably private lifestyle. While little is known about his daily habits, occasional glimpses offer a peek into his surprisingly grounded relationship with food. Known for his shy nature, striking looks, and humble conduct during his time at Oxbridge Academy, classmates observed that Barron often skipped lunch.

Although he regularly joined his peers in the cafeteria, he typically didn’t have food with him. “He never really explained why,” one classmate told Irish Star, “just said he preferred to wait until he got home.” (via Health Digest).

While skipping meals may be typical for some, experts caution against skipping meals. Clinical dietitian Haley Robinson notes that skipping lunch can lead to dips in blood sugar, poor concentration, irritability, and slowed metabolism, potentially causing overeating later.

Perhaps everyone talks about Barron Trump because of his height, standing at an impressive 6-foot-7; according to Donald Trump, the secret lies in his late grandmother’s traditional Slovenian cooking. Speaking at the 2024 funeral of Amalija Knavs, Melania’s mother, Trump said, “That’s how he got so tall. He only ate her food.”

Slovenian cuisine includes rich, hearty staples like buckwheat, cabbage, sausages, dumplings, layered cakes, and salmon.

So, if Barron ate food at home, the dishes must include the items, as mentioned earlier, deeply rooted in his mother’s Slovenian genes. In family bonding, but possibly even in his physical development. It might also explain his choice to skip school lunches in favor of meals he truly enjoyed. Or maybe he’s just too shy to eat since he knows the bodyguard and paparazzi are always around.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump seems to be the opposite of his 19-year-old son. He is a big foodie and has been vocal about it. He also mostly skips breakfast, where he likes bacon and eggs, a typical American classic breakfast option. Reportedly, Trump takes medicines to control his cholesterol and believes that golf is his exercise to burn calories. However, he does not like exercising much.

For lunch, the MAGA supporter likes meatloaf or a well-done steak with lots of ketchup, unlike his son Barron, who skips it. He has a bit of a snacking habit, and he fills his appetite with the likes of Oreos, Doritos, and other sweet treats.

In addition, Trump’s massive love for McDonald’s and Diet Coke remains well known. Reports reveal that he could consume about 12 Diet Coke’s a day. What’s surprising is that despite his love affairs with sugary drinks and Big Macs, he seems to be in “excellent health.” In April, the President had his first annual physical exam in his second term at Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre.

Trump is 6 feet 3 inches and weighs around 224 pounds (in 2017, he was 215 pounds, so that’s approximately a 4.8% increase in body fat here). In addition, his blood pressure was 128/74.  Even though Trump’s health reports were a big slap in his haters’ faces, who claimed he wasn’t fit enough to be in power.

We can conclude that both the father and the son have opposite food choices and habits. While Trump seems the ultimate foodie amongst the large family, Barron seems to be a person who eats to live.
