A bizarre TikTok video has sent the internet spiraling with claims that Barron Trump (President Donald Trump’s 6-foot-9 youngest son) is not just dating WNBA star Caitlin Clark but is already ENGAGED to her. The video, which is now racking up views across platforms like X (formerly Twitter), offers no real evidence but strings together unrelated “clues” that have caught the imagination of conspiracy-hungry users.

It all began with a report from NewsNation, which claimed the 19-year-old NYU freshman “has a really nice girlfriend and hangs out with her a lot,” without naming names. Then came TikTok’s twist: suggesting that the mystery woman might be none other than Indiana Fever’s No. 22 and reigning queen of women’s basketball, Caitlin Clark.

But the reality? Caitlin Clark just celebrated her second anniversary with Connor McCaffery, whom she’s publicly dated since 2023! Meanwhile, Barron Trump remains very private and practically absent from social media.

Despite being the focus of tabloid curiosity since childhood, nothing substantially links the two young public figures. Well, except for a viral imagination and a few wild guesses.

TikTok’s Three “Clues” and a Whole Lot of Fiction

The viral TikTok lays out its theory with a three-clue structure that reads like fan fiction dressed as investigative journalism. The first so-called clue? That Caitlin “made the first move” at a mysterious private event, supposedly striking up a conversation with Barron. There’s no video or even secondhand sourcing for this claim. It is just narration over random photos.

The second “clue” is even more bizarre: the video claims Barron transferred one of his multimillion-dollar homes into a “mystery trust” named B&T, which it suggests stands for “Barron & Caitlin.” The TikTok then spirals into prenup speculation, hinting that assets are being merged and marriage may be imminent. Users on X immediately poked holes in the theory, pointing out that B&T likely stands for “Barron & Trump,” referencing the teen’s familial estate.

Finally, the third “clue” is a necklace. The video says Caitlin Clark was once seen wearing a pendant with “B&T” on it. It is the same alleged symbol on Barron Trump’s birthday cake, a detail the video claims was “confirmed” to be Melania Trump’s design. Again, there is no photographic evidence or credible source behind this.

The internet went wild, as expected. While some users took it in jest, others seemed genuinely confused.

Caitlin Clark’s Real Boyfriend and Barron Trump’s Offline Life

While TikTok thrives on fan-made drama, Caitlin Clark’s real relationship couldn’t be more grounded. She’s been dating Connor McCaffery since April 2023. McCaffery, a fellow University of Iowa athlete and the son of former Iowa basketball coach Fran McCaffery, frequently appears on her Instagram.

Their anniversary post in April 2025 confirms the relationship is not just active. It’s thriving! Clark’s sweet tribute read: “Another year with my favorite person 🙂 I’m so thankful for you 🖤🖤.” McCaffery replied, ” Two years ∞ keep being you ❤️.”

So, unless we’ve entered a parallel universe, Caitlin Clark is not in a secret engagement with Barron Trump.

As for Barron? Donald Trump said on the PBD Podcast in October 2024 that he didn’t think Barron had a girlfriend yet. Now that he has finished his first year at NYU, Barron remains media-shy, and his appearances are limited to public events with his family and the occasional internet meme. So when speculation about his personal life begins trending, it’s usually based on little more than shadows and whispers.

Still, the rumor mill shows no signs of slowing, especially when two high-profile Gen Z figures like Barron Trump and Caitlin Clark are involved, even if they’ve never met!
