Elon Musk gives it back to Donald Trump‘s dismissal of his new political party on Truth Social. Musk announced his American Party will run in the mid-term elections in 2026. The party will give Americans their freedom back and save them from the current political situation. After Elon’s announcement of his platform X, Trump posted on Truth Social, calling out Elon’s idea to be ridiculous. He said it will create chaos and bring in confusion.
Furthermore, he said Musk has gone off the rails and turned into a train wreck for the past few weeks. Trump’s take on the news about a political party rising got social media attention on different platforms. An X user took a screenshot of the post and wrote along with it Trump just posted about Musk on Truth Social.
The tech billionaire responded What’s Truth Social and he has never heard of it. He did not read the screenshot or reply to Trump’s jibe instead he refused to acknowledge the existence of the platform.
“What’s Truth Social? Never heard of it” —Elon Musk.

Elon may be trying to be cool about it, but this contradicts his earlier statement. He revealed that Truth Social iOS downloads surpassed X and TikTok in April. So he does know about the platform. In 2022, Musk had called out the platform over its name, saying it’s a terrible one. He joked that the name should have been Trumpet.
According to him the platform only gained popularity since X had censorship. Earlier Trump’s account on Twitter was banned so he started posting on the Truth Social, a platform majorly owned by him.
Trump added to the recent Truth Social post how sad he is over Musk becoming a train wreck. He also spoke about third parties never succeeding in the US; they only create disruption, as seen so far. Then he further spoke about his new bill that Elon could not speak positively about.
The bill takes away the Electric Vehicle Mandate, forcing people to buy EVs. Trump’s new bill allows people to buy whatever they want. Trump wishes to protect the Americans, and he claims the bill will help do that.
It was a long rant post explaining what Elon agreed to before, and then went on to criticize the bill. Trump has repeatedly told him he did not support the EV mandate, which was okay with him. Unfortunately, Musk was surprised by their clash of views on the EVs.
🚨 Elon Musk, Chairman of X (formerly Twitter), CEO of Tesla, and the world’s richest individual has officially launched a new political party: the America Party

Trump also called out Elon’s friend at NASA, who he thought was a republican but turned out to be a blue-blooded Democrat. He thought he was a close friend, but soon realized he had never contributed to a Republican before.
Another reason for Musk to launch the new party is Trump’s big beautiful bill he signed recently. The bill would increase the debt by $5 trillion, which Elon had worked to reduce during his term at DOGE.
