Donald Trump’s iPhone lockscreen recently got public exposure as it was captured on camera and the fact that the American President had his own image as his wallpaper has led to people on the internet describe it as ‘narcissistic behavior.’
While Trump was talking to journalists on May 31, 2025, his lockscreen was captured on camera. Political commentator Harry Sisson then posted the same on TikTok, saying, “Donald Trump was holding a press conference and his phone screen was seen.” He further added, “Can you take a guess as to what the lockscreen photo is? If you guess himself, you’d be absolutely right.”

A zoom on the captured picture showed Trump has an AI enhanced image of himself as his wallpaper, which seemed to be taken during one of his recent election campaigns. Talking about Trump’s wallpaper, Harry continued, “Do you know how narcissistic you have to be to want yourself to be the home screen? You’d be constantly looking at yourself. Normal people might have a photo of themselves and others – family or friends – but no, in Donald Trump’s world, it’s a constant him.”
Harry, however, also mentioned that such behavior is not really unexpected from Donald Trump given how multiple past instances have shown that he is almost obsessed with himself, reports Irish Star. Netizens also came forward with their comments and most of them agreed with Harry.
One user commented, “Narcissism on full display.” Another one mentioned, “Did he Google that and download it? Probably not, but it’s a funny thought.” Another person added, “At least someone admires what he looks like, no one else on the planet does!” A fourth user commented, “It’s like people who have portraits of themselves hanging at home. It’s so odd.” And a fifth asked: “Did you expect anything else?”
However, not everyone was skeptical of such behavior as one user said, “So it’s okay when I have a lockscreen of myself, but when Trump does it he’s suddenly a narcissist.” Another one decided to bring in a psychological theory to explain the whole thing and commented, “It’s a narcissistic thing to do. It’s a narcissistic behavior. But it doesn’t mean he’s a narcissist. Narcissism is a real psychological disorder that can only be diagnosed by a professional.”

A person tried to be rather witty and pointed with their comment, as they said, “I rather have a narcissist that takes care of business than an incompetent person that doesn’t know what they’re doing.”
While netizens were busy discussing Trump’s lockscreen wallpaper and what it says about him as a person, Stephen King took to X to show his annoyance with the President. The acclaimed author posted on X on Thursday, saying, “”If you’re a tax cheat and a Trump supporter, don’t worry. He’ll pardon you.”
As reported by The Irish Star, “King may have been referring to the President’s decision to add to his list of pardoned celebrities this last, including reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley, who were convicted of fraud and tax evasion.”

While King had a different issue than what rest of the social media were busy with, in both cases, Trump ended up being criticized. It now remains to be seen what the American President’s next moves are regarding tax fraud and if he continues to pardon people guilty of tax evasion based on their closeness with him.
