On Friday night, President Donald Trump returned to Truth Social with his favorite time pass of spreading misinformation and conspiracy theories. This time, in his series of unfounded and provocative claims, he targeted both mainstream media and his long-time political rival, former president Joe Biden.
As always with his tweets on his own social media platform, the posts quickly went viral. It garnered over 4.9K ReTruths and 11.6K likes within hours. This shows that Donald Trump still knows how to capture the attention of those who are chronically online and how to exert his influence on his followers.
Among his several claims, Trump shared a video. He claimed that CBS had intentionally erased his 2015 appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Then came his second post and another claim. It was this claim of the night that truly shocked users. He posted that Joe Biden is no longer alive and has been replaced by a clone. This post reignited debates about Trump’s ongoing use of conspiracy and his seeming lack of coherent thoughts.
Trump’s initial post centered around a recycled theory that CBS is suppressing footage from his guest spot on Colbert’s show. “You are not supposed to see this video. CBS DELETED this entire episode from their official website. You will not find these segments on YouTube either,” he claimed.

Networks are known to frequently archive or remove older episodes. These could be for a variety of technical or licensing reasons. However, there is no evidence supporting Trump’s accusation that the episode was deliberately hidden for political reasons.
Yet, his continuous claim feeds into his long-running narrative that mainstream media is actively working to silence him. This message resonates with his base, who completely ignore the fact that mainstream media talks a lot about Donald Trump, whereas he absolutely refuses to acknowledge them or their questions.
Bus as usual, that’s not where it all went to a dumpster fire. Trump amplified a conspiracy theory suggesting that President Biden died in 2020 and has since been replaced by a clone, double, or robotic stand-in. “There is no #JoeBiden—executed in 2020. #Biden clones, doubles & robotic engineered soulless mindless entities are what you see. Democrats don’t know the difference,” read the post-Trump shared.

This is as bizarre as it gets. Though there is scientific evidence of successful cloning, Donald Trump and his base keep forgetting that the clone does need time to grow and mature. They would not have been this confused had they not refused to study science so “religiously.”
As journalist Aaron Rupar shared screenshots of Trump’s posts to X (formerly Twitter), reactions poured in. Critics expressed disbelief and concern, “Someone needs to take that phone away ‘cause he’s crazy,” wrote one user. “There was a time when this would have been considered insanity,” commented another.

However, others responded with humor or complete resignation. “And it’s just another Saturday night,” one user quipped. As funny as it may sound, it is a cause for concern; Donald Trump is, after all, the President of the United States.
