On July 3, President Donald Trump kicked off a yearlong celebration of America’s 250th anniversary with an event in Iowa. As he took the stage, he made comments on a range of topics. from ethanol to his ‘big, beautiful bill’. However, he couldn’t resist talking about his gorgeous 55-year-old wife, Melania Trump.
During his address to the country, he casually revealed what he prefers to call his wife, even behind closed doors. Recalling his conversation with his wife where he discussed issues with the US military with her, Trump said, “I remember saying to our great First Lady…”
He then paused and clarified, “I call her ‘First Lady,’ isn’t it terrible?”
The 79-year-old further hinted that he calls Melania ‘First Lady’ even in their bedroom. The President continued in his speech, “I’m saying `Good night, First Lady, my darling,’ because it reminds me that I’m president, that’s why. I said ‘First Lady, it’s terrible nobody wants to join our military force.”
Even while talking about his wife, a sense of narcissism was evident in the President’s words which definitely didn’t go unnoticed by critics and trollers.
Someone wrote on X, “Calling his wife First Lady at home is so funny!!!!!!”
Another added, “She needs to live in the White House to be called the First Lady! More like First buddy!”

While Trump was busy sharing details about his relationship that absolutely nobody asked for, Melania was out there praising Taylor Swift. Ahead of Independence Day, Melania met patients at the Children’s National Hospital in Washington. While chatting with the kids about their plans for the fourth of July, Melania said, “It’s a very special day. So we will have a big party at the White House… When you feel better, maybe next year, you come over and we’ll celebrate together.”
At some point during the conversation, a child praised Taylor Swift. Melania agreed that the popstar is “very talented,” as reported by Daily Beast. We truly wonder what Trump has to say about this!
The children and families at @ChildrensNatl show incredible courage and resilience every day. I was grateful to share time with them ahead of Independence Day and express gratitude to the dedicated doctors and nurses who care for them with such compassion. pic.twitter.com/0hDIUJVHkW

It’s not very long ago when Trump let the world know that he ‘hates’ Taylor Swift. He even posted on social media, “Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?’”
Meanwhile, talking about Melania’s nickname and how it satisfies his ego wasn’t the only bizarre thing he said while on stage. On the eve of the July 4th holiday, Trump knew how to turn it into a celebration of himself. The President bragged about his megabill victory. Trump said, “There could be no better birthday present for America than the phenomenal victory we achieved just hours ago, when Congress passed the one big beautiful bill to make America great again.”

As the bill passes the Congress, Trump is planning to sign the legislation on Friday during a picnic at the White House. Pumping his fists, the President announced, “We’ve saved our country.”
