Amid escalating tension between the ongoing Israel-Iran situation, Donald Trump is being criticized for his involvement in the same as top Republican leaders have urged the President against getting involved. However, Trump has not paid any heed to their advice, leading to backlash and criticism.
Vice President JD Vance, however, continued to extend his support for Trump as he took to social media to write in support of the President. On Tuesday, Vance posted on X, “First, POTUS has been amazingly consistent, over 10 years, that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. Over the last few months, he encouraged his foreign policy team to reach a deal with the Iranians to accomplish this goal.”
Look, I’m seeing this from the inside, and am admittedly biased towards our president (and my friend), but there’s a lot of crazy stuff on social media, so I wanted to address some things directly on the Iran issue:

His post further mentioned, “And of course, people are right to be worried about foreign entanglement after the last 25 years of idiotic foreign policy. But I believe the president has earned some trust on this issue. And having seen this up close and personal, I can assure you that he is only interested in using the American military to accomplish American people’s goals. Whatever he does, that is his focus.”
Trump has demanded ‘unconditional support’ from Iran and also mentioned that he was aware of Israel’s plans to attack Tehran even before they happened. To further emphasize how Trump wanted the best for American people, Vance wrote, “I just wanted to explain to the American people, if you want safety, part of safety, and I think all Americans want that, is ensuring that the worst people in the world don’t have a nuclear bomb.”
He further added, “And part of ensuring that they don’t have a nuclear bomb is ensuring that they don’t have the enrichment capacity to get there.” Vance has been diplomatic with his words as he has not directly addressed the question of Trump attacking Iran and only echoed the President’s thoughts as he also claimed that Iran should not have nuclear power.
However, despite Vance showing his staunch support to Trump, other high ranking MAGA supporters have shown their clear disapproval of the President’s decision regarding this matter. Conservative pundits like Tucker Carlson, Steve Bannon along with Matt Gaetz and Taylor Greene have clearly urged Trump to not get involved in this matter.
Another one of Trump’s advisors, Bannon, joined Carlson on his podcast on Monday and mentioned that the US getting involved in Iraq-Israel could have negative consequences and might also mess with the National Agenda that Trump propagates.
On the show, Bannon said, “If we get sucked into this war, which inexorably looks like it’s going to happen on the combat side, it’s going to not just blow up the coalition, it’s also gonna thwart what we’re doing with the most important thing, which is the deportation of the illegal alien invaders that are here.”

He also mentioned that if the US continues to remain involved in this conflict, it can also lead to “the end of the American empire.” With so many of his long term advisors asking Trump to get further involved in the Iran-Israel situation, it now remains to be seen what decision the President takes.
