Vice President JD Vance has finally broken silence after the public fallout between best ‘buddies’ Donald Trump and Elon Musk. The 40-year-old VP has emphasized his pride in supporting the President after recent controversies, and his message is loud and clear.
Trump and Musk’s relationship went sour after the President presented his “big, beautiful bill”, and the Tesla founder chose to criticize it publicly. His disagreement with the President’s tax and spending bill coincided with his time to step down from the position of DOGE head. He wrote on X, “I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.”

Donald Trump is clearly unhappy to see Musk turning his back on him. House Speaker Mike Johnson told in a briefing, “I talk to Trump multiple times a day. Obviously, we talked about this. He’s not delighted that Elon did a 180.”
Reacting to Musk’s criticism, Trump told the press, “I’m very disappointed with Elon. He knew this bill better than anyone and he only developed a problem when he found out I would cut the EV mandate.”
In the middle of the year’s biggest political fallout, JD Vance posted a picture of himself next to comedian and podcast host Theo Von. Vance wrote in apparent sarcasm, “Slow news day, what are we even going to talk about? @TheoVon.”

Musk simply reacted with a laughing emoji to Vance’s weird joke. However, he escalated the feud by running a poll, asking Americans if he should start a new political party “that actually represents the 80% in the middle.”
Meanwhile, people wondered if JD Vance would be on Trump’s side or Musk’s, especially as Vance once called Trump “reprehensible” and an “idiot.”
But times have changed. Vance deleted the tweets he made about Trump in 2016. He expressed regret about “being wrong about the guy” in a 2021 Fox interview. And, he still stands by his reformed thoughts about Trump. He added in another tweet, “President Trump has done more than any person in my lifetime to earn the trust of the movement he leads. I’m proud to stand beside him.”

Meanwhile, Elon Musk’s attacks on Trump continue on X. In one of the tweets, he wrote, “The Trump tariffs will cause a recession in the second half of this year.”
However, what’s raising more eyebrows is Musk’s tweet about Trump’s connection with Jeffrey Epstein. In an attempt to publicly defame Trump, Musk wrote, “Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”

He then added, “Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”
When an X User wrote that Trump should be impeached and JD Vance should replace him, Elon Musk replied with “Yes.”
At this point, it remains unclear if Musk is really planning to form his own party, or wants JD Vance to replace the President. But what’s sure is that the relationship between Trump and Musk has turned quite sour and probably beyond repair. And amid the fight between the two most powerful men on the planet, JD Vance has chosen to support Trump.
