Like most high-profile public figures, JD Vance and Usha Vance are also not immune to divorce rumours. Now, the Second Lady’s silence on social media on her husband’s birthday has added fuel to the fire. On August 2, the Vice President celebrated a wonderful birthday, which we hope he spent with his wife and their three children.
In the age of social media, everything is about making posts. Especially when you are a public figure, people always scrutinize each and every digital footprint you leave. As such, wishing your partner a happy birthday on social media is rather normal, whether you actually celebrate the day together in reality.
However, Usha, who has even modified her own political views to support JD’s political career, did not post anything on Saturday. Her X (formerly Twitter) account has been quite inactive since June, whereas her last Instagram update was about the Ohio State Fair. Suspicious, innit?
Although this has once again brought back the rumors about something going on in their marriage, there could be many reasons why Usha didn’t wish her husband a happy birthday on social media.
Usha Vance neglected to post anything publicly on her husband, JD Vance’s, birthday, which won’t help growing speculation that their marriage is on the rocks. https://t.co/L9IbZj59ht

For instance, she could have simply forgotten or didn’t feel the need to. The other theory is that she just wanted to pay back for JD’s Mother’s Day snub. On the special occasion, Vance tweeted “to all the mothers out there”, but left his wife out of the post. In a striking contrast, Mrs. Vance shared a bunch of pics with her husband and kids on her Instagram. “We love you today and every day,” she wrote. Is she sending a message by not wishing JD a happy birthday on social media?
It could be that the couple just doesn’t like to wish each other on public platforms. At least, a deep dive into their past activities says so.
Meanwhile, unlike Usha, most of the people in JD’s inner circle didn’t skip the wishes. Kimberly Guilfoyle shared a big portrait of him on Instagram, writing, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY.”

Kristi Noem wrote, “Thank you for all your service and sacrifice for our country!” The official Instagram account for the White House also posted JD Vance’s picture with Donald Trump. Even Fox News wished him a special day.
It could be that the SLOTUS has taken a bunch of pictures during the celebration at home, and plans on uploading them later. However, if that’s not the case, it could be concerning.
