Caitlyn Jenner’s Urgent Israel Message
---Advertisement---

With Israel facing attack due to increased tension with Iran, Americans like Caitlyn Jenner and CNN’s Scott Jennings are stuck in the country, unable to get out.

The Ben-Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv has shut down, and we do not know when it’ll open again. Tourists and locals are unable to leave. In the thick of this situation, Caitlyn Jenner shared a short but meaningful conversation with her daughter, Kylie Jenner. Speaking to Israeli TV, she relayed their discussion. “Don’t worry, I’ll keep myself safe, and they’ll take care of me.”

The Olympic gold medalist slash trans activist participated in Pride events in Israel. She’s also been offering support to the LGBTQ+ community in a region seemingly coping with the October 7 Hamas attacks.

Jenner’s trip (initially celebratory) has become an impromptu act of solidarity. “My heart is here, with the beautiful people, in @Israel,” she posted on X (formerly Twitter) on June 12, sharing images of her visit to Jerusalem’s Western Wall. But its June 12 visit to Kibbutz Be’eri, one of the hardest-hit sites, shifted the tone from symbolic to somber.

Caitlyn Jenner Says “This Type of Fighting Must Not Go On”

During her visit to Kibbutz Be’eri, Jenner met with survivors and grieving family members of the October 7 Hamas massacre, which killed 102 community members. Standing in a bomb shelter, Jenner issued a plea for the safe return of 53 hostages still being held in Gaza.

“We must bring them home, and this is the only way to end this story. I deeply sympathize with the kibbutz’s great sorrow over the loss of 102 dear members,” she said, as reported by the Jerusalem Post. Currently, the hostages are being held by Hamas as pawns in a political game. This type of fighting must not go on.”

Jenner spoke with Yuval Haran, whose father was killed, and family members were taken captive.

Haran explained how residents felt secure enough to live without weapons until the illusion of safety was shattered. Jenner also met Danny Majzner, whose sister was killed in the attack. Their stories visibly moved her, and her call to “end this story” came from a place of raw empathy.

Although her visit was not officially political, the tone carried unmistakable urgency. By standing with bereaved families and speaking out against Hamas, Jenner made her trip more than symbolic. It became advocacy rooted in presence.

Jenner and Jennings Speak Out For Israel

Scott Jennings posted dramatic footage from his hotel near the Sea of Galilee in northern Israel on June 13. He captured what he believed were missile strikes launched by Iran. “Just heard air raid sirens and loud booms here in Tiberias, Israel,” he wrote on X, adding, “Didn’t see anything in the sky, but the booms were loud. Around 4:30 am.”

Israeli officials have said that all flights at Ben-Gurion Airport are off for now, and they’re telling people not to go near the terminal. So, because of this situation, Jennings and Jenner are stuck in the country with no way out, just following the military’s advice.

Despite being grounded, Jennings echoed support for Israel on social media: “ I’m visiting the resilient people of Israel as the nation continues to recover.”

Caitlyn’s brief but potent 12-word message to her daughter (equal parts intimate and stoic) captures a personal moment in a geopolitical storm in a region laced with trauma, politics, and war. Whether through her Pride advocacy or her call for hostage recovery, Jenner’s presence in Israel has transcended headlines, becoming a testament to showing up even when escape isn’t an option.
