In today’s news, Prince Harry‘s ex-girlfriend became a mother again! Wait, did you even know he had an ex-girlfriend before he was involved in a whirlwind romance with Meghan Markle, with whom he tied the knot in 2018? No, right? Most of us don’t! That’s why it’s always fun to write about a famous person, because there’s so much scoop for everyone to know.
Cressida Bonas, Prince Harry’s former girlfriend, has welcomed her second child, a daughter named Delphina Pandora Wentworth-Stanley, with husband Harry Wentworth-Stanley.
The name celebrates her late half-sister, Pandora Cooper-Key, who passed away in July 2024 at age 51 after a prolonged battle with cancer linked to Li-Fraumeni syndrome, which is a rare genetic disorder, as reported by the Times.
According to The Mirror, Cressida and her estate agent husband, Harry Wentworth-Stanley, married in 2020 and have a two-year-old son, Wilbur James. The couple conceived Delphina using a frozen embryo from their previous IVF treatment. The model and the actress have been open and honest about their pregnancy journey, including how Cressida’s body changed as she tried hard to get pregnant and embrace motherhood.
In The Sunday Times, Cressida said: “I spent time and money on reflexology, nutritionists, acupuncture and psychics… Even a German healer who speaks to angels. I heard nothing, not a squeak.” She admitted that she became obsessed with conceiving but felt her body had failed her. However, as they say, there’s always light at the end of the tunnel; in July 2022, Cressida confirmed she was pregnant after undergoing IVF, and she gave birth to Wilbur in November of that year.

Meanwhile, as reported by PEOPLE magazine, Cressida’s baby girl’s name, Delphina, is a variant of Delphine and translates to “dolphin.” In addition, Cressida, who’s also a podcaster, revealed that she thought of sharing her story to let other couples experiencing infertility know that they are not alone.
“The more we share our stories and lean on others, the lighter the burden of shame that comes with infertility. If it hadn’t been for the people who shared their experiences with me, I’d have felt very alone,” she wrote. (via PEOPLE). The most interesting part is that Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas met through Harry’s close cousin, Princess Eugenie, at a music festival. Then their romance began—the couple dated from 2012 to October 2014.

Reportedly, Cressida freaked out and felt overwhelmed by the constant media scrutiny and spotlight attention she received as a commoner for dating a royal prince. She has also claimed that Harry wasn’t nice to her, and she allegedly saw a violent side of him that existed beyond the charming prince image.
The couple split two years before he met his wife, Meghan Markle, in 2016. Cressida even attended Prince Harry’s wedding to Markle in 2018 at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. Cressida and Prince Harry continue to be on good terms, even today.

In his 2023 memoir, Spare, Prince Harry wrote that “Cress” helped him process the pain of grieving his beloved mother, Princess Diana, when they were together. The 416-page memoir accounts for his life as an “heir and a spare” (successor and prestige to the royal family) and the important relationships around it.
The money earned from this memoir was declared donated to charity. Prince Harry said that he was trying to pen this memoir not as a prince but as the man he has become while juggling several hats with the test of time. The book details his time in the Army and his thoughts behind the decision to resign from royal duties in 2020.
This move was intended not to showcase the downside of being a monarch but to highlight its beautiful parts.
