Celebrities often insure their body parts

Given the fact that celebrities take a lot of care of their bodies, it is only natural that some of them go ahead with insuring them. From Heidi Klum to Bruce Springsteen, a number of celebrities have insured various parts of their bodies for multi million dollars.

Heidi Klum’s legs are reportedly insured for $2.2 million. Given how much attention her legs receive, it is only natural that she got them insured. As reported by PEOPLE, “Klum did for a while for a client, though a small scar on her left leg meant it was worth $200,000 less than its counterpart, she told Ellen DeGeneres in 2022.”

Talking about it, she told DeGeneres, “When I was young, I fell into a glass and I have, like, a big scar. Obviously I put so much spray tan on right now you can’t see it right now but yeah, one was more expensive than the other one. It’s weird the things that some people do.”

Mariah Carey is another celebrity whose legs are insured along with her vocal chords. As per a report presented by TMZ in 2016, the singer took out two $35 million policies while being on a tour. These two polices are for her legs and vocal chords.

Bruce Springsteen’s Vocal Cords are also insured, as per a report by TIME. Given the fact that his voice is his everything, it is only natural that the singer has insured them. Kim Kardashian is another one on this list. As reported by PEOPLE, “Kim Kardashian, known for her backside (once proven all-natural via X-ray), reportedly has a $21 million policy on her tush — that’s $10.5 million per cheek! Surprisingly, it wasn’t Kardashian who made the call but her then-fiancé, Kanye West, who believed her butt needed its own protection plan.”

Rihana has also insured her legs reportedly for $1 million. She was also presented with Gillette’s Venus Breeze Celebrity Legs of a Goddess award, which led her to secure them at a high value. After America Ferrera became the face of 2007, she went ahead with securing her teeth for $10 million. It was the company behind this decision and talking about the same, Ferrera said, “It’s very flattering to have my smile insured for $10 million. It’s not something that I ever imagined happening.”

Holly Madison insured her breasts for $1 million before going topless for her 2011 Las Vegas revue Peepshow. Talking about her decision, Madison told PEOPLE, “”I thought, why not? Because if anything happened to my boobs, I’d be out for a few months and I’d probably be out a million dollars.”

Gordon Ramsay is another addition to the list of celebrities who have gotten their body parts insured. Ramsay’s tongue is constantly used by him for tasting all kinds of foods and that is why he has insured that body part for $10 million.

These celebrities and a lot many who have gotten their various parts injured have their own reasons to do so. They generally go for the most valued part of their bodies so that if something happens to that body part, they can be covered by insurance.
