Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Maine in New England have been seeing a rise in dead bodies since March. The bodies have been piling up since March and authorities have mentioned that the deaths have been happening for unexplained reasons.
The most recent body has been found on June 1. The body belongs to Adriana Suazo and marks the 13th death in three months. The Mirror US has reported, “Investigators say the cases vary widely, from dismemberments to unattended deaths, and are being handled individually by local police departments and district attorneys.”
However, there has been speculation of a serial killer given the number of deaths that have happened within a short span of time and also because of the proximity of the locations of the bodies being found. The authorities however have dismissed the possibility of such a thing because of the lack of forensic evidence.
The latest victim, Adriana Suazo’s family is now desperately seeking answers as they want to know what happened to their child. Her sister, Melanie Pizarro, told Fox News, “I just want to know the truth about what happened to her. I’m not accusing anyone, but her circumstances are suspicious. She was with someone either when she died or before. My family just wants closure.”
It should be noted here that the wave of these bodies being found began on March 6, when Paige Fannon’s dead body was found in the Norwalk River in Connecticut. On the same day of discovering 34-year- old Paige’s body, a human skull was also found near Route 3 in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

58-year-old Suzanne Wormser’s body was found next, within a span of less than two weeks. It was a suitcase at Groton, Connecticut where her body was discovered. Her roommate was taken into custody by the authorities on suspicion of his connection to the murder. However, he died in custody itself.
In March, 59 years old Denise Leary’s dead body was found in New Haven. Just a day after this, 56-year-old Michele Romano’s remains were found from a wooded area in Foster, Rhode Island.
As Mirror US reported, “In April, the grim discoveries continued. Unidentified remains were found in Killingly, Connecticut, on April 9. Just 11 days later, on April 20, a body was recovered from the Seekonk River in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.”

A week after these grim discoveries, two more bodies were found from Taunton, Massachusetts and Connecticut River near Rocky Hill. The horror of bodies being found one after the other did not stop here as 45-year-old Meggan Meredith was found on April 22 near a bike path in Springfield, Massachusetts.
On May 30, Jasmine Wilkes’ body was found in Edgewood Park in New Haven. Suazo’s body is the last to be found till now and it now remains to be seen what new information authorities provide regarding her and the other deaths in the area.
