Mary Trump has always been vocal about how much she despised her uncle. From exposing her personal encounters to directly opposing his ideologies, Donald Trump’s niece never fails to show her feelings toward him. Now, she is back with another statement about her uncle. She called her an a—–e, saying that he wants to be “President for life.”

In a recent interview with the Telegraph, Mary, 60, warned Americans that Trump wants to continue his presidency for a third term or perhaps more.  “I mean, as we say in America, he’s always been an a*****e. Right?” she said. Then, she was asked about whether Donald Trump might run for another term.

“That’s what Donald certainly has in mind. It’s not about whether or not he’ll run. It’s about whether or not he’ll leave,” she commented. “It’s more likely that he’ll just say, I’m president for life and I’m not going anywhere. And he’ll challenge people to get rid of him. Like he’s doing with the judiciary now.”

Mary Trump continued, “They’re saying, you must do this. And his response is: ‘Go ahead and make me, you and what army?’ How do you get rid of him? We don’t know, because we’ve never had this problem. I think he’s willing to challenge that.”

In January, Donald Trump returned to the White House for the second time. Less than six months into his controversial ongoing term, there has been much curiosity about whether or not he will run again. The current constitutional rules in the United States prohibit a president from serving more than two terms in office.

If the Republican leader wants to go back to the Oval Office for the third term, he needs to seek the 22nd Amendment. However, changing this Amendment could be difficult given that two-thirds approval from the Senate is needed, along with the House of Representatives and three-quarters of the country’s state-level governments.

Despite the constitution, there are rumors that Trump will run for office in 2028 as well. He would be 82, the current age of the former president Joe Biden. But what does the president say himself?

In an interview with NBC News, he stated, “I’ll be an eight-year president, I’ll be a two-term president. I always thought that was very important.

“It’s something that, to the best of my knowledge, you’re not allowed to do. I don’t know if that’s constitutional that they’re not allowing you to do it or anything else. But this is not something I’m looking to do.”

However, merely two weeks later, he gave a different answer. “Some people want us to do a fourth, I don’t know. [I’ll] have to think about that,” he said during his Doha visit.
