Lauren Sanchez is no stranger when it comes to fashion choices. The 55-year-old’s bold choices have been criticized several times by critics. Sanchez has also grabbed attention more than a few times for her disastrous makeup looks several times.
Critics have often pointed out the journalist’s overly long fake eyelashes that stand out in every look. Sanchez’s looks also often feature a heavy use of highlighter than necessary that is easily noticeable in photos. Here’s a round-up of a few of Lauren Sanchez’s makeup fails.
Sanchez’s Fake Eyelashes Debacle
Sanchez’s 2010 Grammy Awards look makes it to the top of her makeup fails. The American journalist opted for a soft glam look for the night, which was as subtle as it gets. The makeup featured a subtle blush and a lip gloss.

The only thing that stood out like a sore thumb in her makeup was the eyelashes. Lauren’s fake eyelashes were overly done and created an odd contrast considering her soft makeup. The fake eyelashes that the Amazon CEO’s fiancé wore were long enough to reach her eyebrows.
Lauren Sanchez’s Eyeshadow Blend Fail
Lauren Sanchez’s Vanity Fair Oscar Party in 2023 might just have been her biggest makeup disaster yet. Critics were quick to notice that Sanchez’s makeup artist had committed a beginner’s mistake, which ruined her whole look.
Lauren graced the red carpet of the event with a rather toned-down makeup look. Her face was perfectly contoured, she had a nude lip color on, and the perfect fake eyelashes that suited her makeup.

What fans and critics alike could not help notice was how badly Lauen’s eye makeup was done. Her eyeshadow, which was pink and bronze in color, immediately grabbed the attention.
The two shades stood out individually without being blended. People could not help but question why the eyeshadow had not been blended properly. The beginner’s mistake managed to ruin Sanchez’s whole look.
Lauren’s 2021 Baby2Baby Gala Look
Lauren and her husband-to-be, Jeff Bezos, attended the 2021 Baby2Baby 10-year gala together. During the 2021 event, the American journalist wore a long black gown and while Bezos donned a black tuxedo.

Lauren’s makeup artist went overboard with the highlighter in this instance. The highlighter was white in color and used around Sanchez’s eye area. It not only made her eyes appear much smaller it also stood out too much because of the contrast. The stark white powder around her eye did not complement the other colors that the makeup consisted of.
