A member of the doomsday cult, Lori Vallow, was sentenced to a lifetime in prison for murdering her two children. As confirmed by the grandmother, the human remains found at her home were suspected to be her children. The court concluded it to be a planned murder.

She was also involved in the murder of her husband’s former wife, Tammy.

In her last trial, Judge Steven W. Boyce was shocked by a parent killing their kids. This was not the end of her crimes! Currently, she is on trial for the murder of her fourth husband, Charles Vallow. She will get another life sentence to serve in prison if found guilty. The trial took place on April 7th but got delayed due to her mistake.

Charles died after being shot in 2019. Earlier, the case was reported to be a self-defense one when Lori’s brother, Alex Cox, shot him after getting hit by a baseball bat. Cox died the same year due to natural reasons; hence, cannot give a statement in court.

Such chilling cases where a parent murders their child aren’t new but are always hard to believe. Vallow, a member of the doomsday cult, calls herself not guilty. However, she is serving a life sentence in prison for coldly murdering her son and daughter.

Lori, who is representing herself, wants to fast-track the matter and get a quick judgment. She hoped for a speedy trial and wanted to present a new witness in the court. The prosecutors were aware of her plan to bring her niece’s ex-husband, Brandon Boudreaux, as a witness.

Her plan didn’t go through as she did not follow the proper protocol. Boudreaux was not subpoenaed to be able to present his side in the court. As the judge explained the issue to Lori, the trial will now happen in May. The judge asked about the relevancy of Boudreaux’s testimony. However, Lori did not reveal any information. She said she doesn’t wish to share any valuable information.

Since Lori is not a trained attorney, she does not know the intricacies of the court. The judge had to explain to her further that the prosecution was supposed to interview him and learn about the information he knew. She will have to provide adequate notice to the other party and the relevancy of the information to present a new witness at the court. After 45 minutes of discussion, the testimony was declared to be not relevant, and Boudreaux was removed from the witness list.

Lori spoke to True Crime Arizona, saying she isn’t an attorney and only came up with the plan herself. She further says she came here with the intention to have a speedy trial. She expected the prosecutors could put together the case and charges that are five years old.
