All of us have gone through moments when all we wanted was to eat something sweet. The same thing happened with Tiktoker Hallie Walker when she was in the backseat of her Uber. It was 11 pm and in her desperate craving for sugar, she downed six squares of chocolate.

After she got back home and went to bed, Hallie realized that something was wrong as she woke up all sweaty within 30 minutes of hitting the bed. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Hallie said, “I felt nauseous and super panicked. My heart was racing like crazy, and my entire body was violently shaking for hours. I thought I was having a panic attack that just wouldn’t end.”

She further added, “I was dry heaving over the toilet for hours, crying and telling my husband I was dying.”

However, she managed to get some sleep around 6am but woke up only after two hours. It took her a few more hours to finally realize what was making her feel so uncomfortable: the chocolates she had consumed were Alice Focus & Energy Mushroom Chocolate and there was 66 mg of caffeine in every square.

Talking about the same, Hallie said, “I am not a caffeine person at all. I literally don’t drink it because it always makes me feel weird. Every so often, I’ll have a chai latte to fit in, and even that makes me jittery almost immediately.”

However, despite the physical and mental distress that she was going through, the Tiktoker inside Hallie knew that her experience would make great content. Thus, she filmed herself talking about what happened and as expected, the video went viral and garnered 1.8 million views and 3,200 comments.

Since she posts comedy videos, some of her fans thought it might also be a fictional account that she was just making up. The comments turned out to be quite funny as one user said, “That’s the equivalent of five Red Bulls.” Another one added, “As a former hugeeee caffeine consumer, y’all are not taking this more seriously. Heart attack/cardiac arrest in these scenarios are real.”

Talking about the comments, Hallie said, “The comments turned into the caffeine Olympics. Everyone was fighting over caffeine science and flexing how much they drink every day.” She further said that while the chocolate was just like it was mentioned on the wrappers, it was she who did not read the details properly.

She jokingly said, “I just don’t know how to read, apparently. The brand actually sent me a really sweet care package after seeing the video — it was full of products to help with sleep! If I had taken five seconds to read the label before shoveling it down my throat… lol.”

While Hallie did not undergo any harm apart from the uncomfortable hours from night till morning, her experience shows the importance of reading the labels of food items, especially if they are eaten in large quantities.
