Vladimir Putin is reported to have his own plane ready in case a war breaks out. Presently, Russia’s international relationships are not really looking great and given the kind of tension that is there because of Putin’s hostility to the nations that have offered their support to Ukraine, the possibility of a World War 3 has also been discussed by experts.
Moreover, in recent weeks, citizens of the EU have been advised to keep ready a supply bag that contains enough stuff to last for 72 hours at least. An expert has also told LADbible “that having a supply bag was a good idea but in the case of World War Three Brits would be better off making sure they had a supply in their home and hunkering down.”
Germany is also following the same approach as authorities have been putting together guidelines talking about what the citizens should do in case the international conflicts reach a boiling point and they have to keep themselves safe.
Given how Putin has a huge role to play in the rising tension, it is not surprising that his exit plan is well in place. He has his own Ilyushin Il-80, which has been dubbed as “Flying Kremlin” by Euronews. The name of the plane is significant as it hints at the place Putin and the members of his government will be heading to in case the war breaks out.

It is a heavily well equipped and protected plane that offers protection even against nuclear blast. The plane does not have any windows apart from the ones that are in the cockpit and also offers special equipment that would allow the people inside the plane to command and communicate as and when necessary.
As per Euronews, the plane “even has protection from electromagnetic attacks that would disable the plane as flying command post for Putin.” Moreover, the plane can also be refueled mid-air only so that it does not have to land for fueling purposes and can fly for longer hours and distances.
It should be noted here that besides Russia, the US also has four doomsday planes ready in case the need to move the officials arise all of a sudden. The political situation in America is also very volatile right now with Donald Trump threatening to bomb Iran and the Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei strongly holding their ground.

Iran has also been accused of plotting Trump’s assassination and the situation further escalated after one of the country’s leading newspapers openly called for the same. With Trump making it clear that he would bomb Iran in a never seen before manner in case the nuclear deal does not happen after direct communication with them, the situation seems to be not far away from reaching a boiling point.
With the key leaders of various countries keeping their exit strategies ready in case things go south, it would be the common people who would suffer the most if a war really breaks out. It now remains to be seen if Putin uses his doomsday flight anytime soon or if it is spotted in the Russian sky.
