Pilots all over the world have occasionally talked about several things they encounter while flying at high altitudes. Bright lights or blurred objects have been reported several times, but this time, one of the US Air Force pilots saw something that ought not to fly.
A former US Air Force fighter pilot Major Ryan Bodenheimer recently retold one of the most extraordinary on-flight experiences. This one defied all known laws of physics and aerodynamics. Bodenheimer is an elite pilot and is a former member of Air Force Thunderbirds. Once, while cruising at 30,000 feet at approximately 400 knots over Wyoming, he spotted an object that shouldn’t have been flying. According to Bodenheimer, his reporting baffled experts and renewed the speculation about UFOs and aliens.
The object was a “perfect rectangle” and it was hovering beside his F-15 jet. Bodenheimer described it as roughly 30 to 50 feet tall. He also said the edges of the structure glowed bright white whereas the interior appeared cream-colored. The former pilot exclaimed that it was utterly unlike any aircraft in existence.
Bodenheimer was stunned not only by the shape of the flying object but also by how the object behaved at the high altitude. He confirmed that the object had no wings, no propulsion system, and no other visible means of staying airborne.

Yet the flying object moved alongside his jet at high speed and high altitude. Bodenheimer claimed that these conditions demand sophisticated aerodynamic design, and no random object can fly the way that box was flying, as per The Mirror.
The US fighter pilot claimed that even if the object could be airborne, aerodynamically, it should have achieved the speed of 400 knots at that height. He then added that it kept perfect pace with him in the sky. This was not the first time a pilot had recounted their experience in the sky; however, this was the only one that was prolonged and direct. In this case, the pilot could see the object directly in front of him. It gave the experienced pilot ample time to analyze what he was seeing.

Bodenheimer’s account has added to a growing list of sightings from military personnel. There was a time when such stories could end a pilot’s career. However, thanks to shifting attitudes and increased public interest in Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP), these reports are finally receiving serious attention.
The US Navy has previously declassified several sightings of unusual flying objects described as “Tic Tacs” spheres and even cubes with visible structures. Bodenheimer’s encounter with a rectangular craft, however, introduces a new shape into the conversation. This one further challenged the assumption that all flying objects must conform to known aerodynamic principles.
Skeptics have often suggested that UFO sightings could be misidentified as secret military aircraft. While this may explain some reports, the behavior and shape of the rectangular object seen by Bodenheimer seem to rule out traditional prototypes. The absence of wings or propulsion, combined with the object’s ability to fly at high speeds, makes it difficult to categorize.
