According to David Rothkopf, Donald Trump is the most impotent president ever. The foreign policy expert Rothkopf was on The Daily Beast Podcast speaking about the president. He was ready with his brutal assessment over his increasing global irrelevance during the second term. He spoke to Joanna Coles on how Trump has destroyed the economy at a global level with his tariffs.
Moreover, he has alienated US’ allies while also attacking the international systems. Even after all this he has not made a single successful deal. He talks about how he’s all about words and no actions. Rothkopf has been a former official of the Clinton administration. He talks about Trump in detail and how he is out of depth day by day.
In recent news, Trump went on to claim credit for Iran’s air strike. However, Israel has said it was a unilateral decision. This has opposed what he has been implying. In truth, Mr. President wants to be the center of everything and take all the credit. His administration may have prior knowledge of the attack on Iran, as claimed by Tucker Carlson, so that, too, does not work in his favor. His bragging on Truth Social about it was something even MAGA may not have expected.

Rothkopf has called him impulsive. We all know how Trump goes on and on in his online posts and rants, another example of his impulsive nature. Rothkopf mocked the president, saying he wants to be the bride at every wedding and corpse at every funeral. This shows that he wants all of his attention to him no matter what’s going on in the world.
He mocked his self-proclaimed prowess in making deals; however, he hasn’t made any successful ones. Rothkopf drew a parallel to real estate deals and how they are not the same as President’s deals.
The president is more concerned about optics and theatrics at this point instead of sitting in intelligence briefings. This is why Rothkopf targeted the National Security Council saying how Tulsi Gabbard is showing them as a Fox News segment. This may be partly due to Trump wanting to watch it like that.

He goes on to say that international leaders are not in support of this act either and don’t take him seriously. People are focusing on making fun of him publicaly. Another controversial move was sending the military and National Guard to the LA protests amidst his immigration crackdown plan.
It is the worst time to do that, and it shows how incompetent he has been. Rothkopf’s argument here makes sense, as everyone around the world is witnessing the collapse of the US under Trump.
