Tiffany Stasi was living like any other normal teen until she found out about her dark past. Stasi was adopted by Don and Frieda Robinson when she was just a baby. The whole Robinson family was shocked after they found out the dark truth behind the adoption and the connection Don’s serial killer brother had with it.

Tiffany was raised as Heather Robison after she was adopted as an infant. Don’s brother, John Edward Robinson, met Heather’s biological mother, Lisa, at a women’s shelter. Lisa had found her way to the shelter after her split with Heather’s father. John lured the woman in while promising her that he would help the single mother find a home.

He then killed Lisa and stole her baby to give her away to his brother and sister-in-law. The couple paid $5,500 to John, considering that they were legally adopting Heather. The serial killer also lied to the couple by telling them that the baby’s mother had taken her life in a hotel room, making her an orphan.

Lisa was only 19 years old when she was brutally murdered. John managed to stay out of trouble with the law for 15 years after he had committed the crime. In 2000, the man was arrested after a shocking discovery. After arresting John, the police found remains of multiple women stored in barrels on his property.

Corpses of 8 women who had gone missing were found at John’s house. At 56 years old, he became the prime suspect in the murder of these women. After further investigation, the authorities found out that the man had a history of fraud and embezzlement. He had committed several crimes under the alias John Osbourne.

The police were prompted to search John’s house after a woman reported him to the police for sexual assault and theft. Incidentally, the 56-year-old had already been named as a suspect in several missing person cases in Missouri and Kansas.

Upon arrival at the scene, authorities found the bodies of Izabela Lewicka and Suzette Trouten stored in barrels. Both women had been reported missing in the two years leading up to John’s arrest. Three more bodies were later found in storage units rented by the serial killer.

Heather received the shock of her lifetime after finding out that her uncle was behind her mother’s murder. In 2oo2, John was found guilty of murdering Trouten, Lewicka, and Lisa Stasi.

He was sentenced to two death sentences and a life sentence. The judge also found him guilty of kidnapping Heather as an infant and adopting her falsely. In the year that followed, the serial killer pleaded guilty to the rest of the 5 women he was accused of murdering.

John received even more life sentences for the admission. Two of his life sentences were overturned in 2015. John Robinson, who is now 81 years old, still remains on death row despite being found guilty of killing 8 women.

John reportedly was the first serial killer who used the internet to find his victims. The serial killer used the username ‘slavemaster’ and found women on online chat rooms.

In an interview with ABC News, Heather shared that she had seen her mother get murdered but was too young to remember it. She also noted how John gave her “this really weird, off-putting feeling in the pit of my stomach.”

Heather recalled how John once cornered her at a wedding and asked her sexual questions. He then offered to fly her to come stay with him months before he was arrested. “I’d be dead. I would be in that barrel,” she shared.
