TSA agents seem to be extremely oblivious about what one not-so-commonly carried item is. A man took to TikTok to share how he is stopped by airport security every single time he carries it with him. Here’s how the man had to face an extremely awkward confrontation, thanks to a TSA officer’s limited knowledge.

Transportation Security Administration has stopped this flyer several times for carrying the same item on his journeys. Saeed DiCaprio took to TikTok to make a video about his struggles with carrying his portable bidet onboard.

“Guys, I always get stopped at the TSA for having an unidentifiable device in my backpack, and every time they hold up the device, and I go ‘yup, that’s my portable bidet,” he began in the video. In the clip, he explained how, as soon as he says that, the agents let him through.

The TikTok user had to go through an unusual experience when the particular TSA agent decided to cross-question him. Saeed explained how the agent inquired about what item in his bag was while he answered the question, revealing that it was a bidet, reports The Mirror

“I was like ‘that’s my portable bidet’, and he was like ‘what is that?’” he recalled the interaction in the TikTok video. He then told the agent that the item he was holding up was a bidet, but in portable form, expecting him to understand. “And then he goes, ‘Yeah, but what is that? What is a bidet?’” The TikToker shared.

Saeed goes on to explain how he was trying his best not to “embarrass” the TSA officer in front of everyone present there. He tried to explain how the bidet is used to “the stuff you use to wash after you’re done in the wash room.” This vague explanation led to even more confusion as the TSA officer pointed out that every hotel had a sink.

The TikToker’s cryptic explanation made the officer think a bidet is used to wash your hands. “Now, I was concerned about missing my flight that day, but now that goes out of the window,” he is heard admitting in the video. He then goes on to joke about how he is concerned for the officer, whom he describes to be 50 years old.

Saeed recalls thinking how the agent has gone “without even the thought of washing his a** once, and that’s concerning. That’s crazy to me.” The video has gained quite a lot of attention ever since it was posted. Several people jumped into the discussion in the comment section to admit that they didn’t know what a bidet was either.

“I’m American. Never heard of one until like five years ago. I’m 32,” one netizen wrote. “Not even surprised,” another added. A third explained how they had to explain what a medical-grade breast pump was to a TSA agent when she was stopped.

A bidet can simply be described as a plumbing fixture. The fixture is designed for personal hygiene, is used to clean the genital areas after an individual has used the toilet. No TSA guidelines prohibit a flyer from carrying a portable bidet in their carry-on and checked baggage.
