American President Donald Trump and Melania Trump always steal the limelight whenever they make a public appearance together. With the recent rumors about their marriage not going well along with the fact that Melania often remains absent at The White House, the couple faces intense media scrutiny whenever they are spotted in public.
While in most of these scrutiny the key line of observation remains how awkward Trump and Melania look together or clumsily they hold hands, it changed with their latest public appearance at the Congressional picnic held on Thursday.
The Congressional picnic is an annual tradition that sees the participation of both parties. Held on the South Lawn of The White House the event’s focus was meant to be on the President, but the First lady, with her elegant dress and newly done hair stole the show. She chose to keep her outfit simple as she paired up a white button-up blouse with floral pants and pink heels, which added a colorful vibe to her whole get up.
Netizens were quick to spot Melania’s stunning look. Commenting on how she was glowing, one user wrote on social media, “Melania always looks gorgeous and beautiful, but especially here in the white blouse and flowered skirt…her face…her hair. Wow.” Another one added, “Tonight might have been the best I’ve seen Melania look. Hair was on point. Dress was simple yet elegant. Smizing as always. 10/10.”

Melania was all smiles as she accompanied Trump who was visibly gushing over her. Addressing the people who had gathered there, the President said, while looking at the FLOTUS, “I am delighted to welcome all the beautiful members of the House and Senate and your beautiful families.” He further added, “It’s a great honor to have you at the White House. I want to thank our magnificent First Lady for putting together this wonderful evening.”
The crowd cheered and Melania said thank you to Trump as he touched her hand. Trump then went ahead to praise her for bringing the Take Down Act to life. The bill, which was signed into law on May 19 by Trump, “makes it illegal to post real or AI- generated deep-fake sexual imagery online of people without their consent” as Daily Mail UK reported.
Talking about the bill and how beneficial it is, Trump said, “I want to thank you Melania. When I saw that bill pass, bipartisan, I said, ‘You know, I think you’re gonna take my job Melania’ … we don’t get so much bipartisan.”
Amid the various rumors of Trump and Melania doing poorly as a couple, this appearance was somewhat better, given how the First Lady presented herself by the side of her husband.
