The marriage of the US President Donald Trump and the First Lady Melania Trump has been under microscope, considering several reports that are coming up, especially circling around the White House, since the inauguration of the Republican politician in January 2025.
Speculations have been at their peak that the relationship of Donald and Melania Trump is merely there for show, and this isn’t the first time that this talk has emerged; rather, it has been the talk of Washington, D.C., for years. Michael Wolff, the famous biographer,r has recently mentioned some remarks which have further ignited this gossip.
“They clearly do not in any way inhabit a marriage as we define marriage. And I think maybe we can more specifically say they live separate lives,” stated Wolff about the POTUS and FLOTUS on a recent episode of “The Daily Beast Podcast.”
Wolff has written multiple books for Trump, and one of the most popular among them is the best-selling “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” in 2018, followed by “Siege: Trump Under Fire” in 2019.
Wolff further said to the podcast host Joanna Coles, “They are separated. The president of the United States and the first lady are separated.”
Though Wolff’s statements on Donald and Melania Trump’s relationships weren’t ignored, and it was directly addressed by the Trump administration. As per sources, Steven Cheung, the White House communication director, addressed it, saying –
“He is an imbecile of the highest order, and his Trump Derangement Syndrome-addled brain has caused him to lead a miserable existence devoid of reality,” Cheung said about Wolff, who has been a vocal critic of the MAGA leader.

However, Wolff isn’t the only person who suggested that Melania Trump is not in love with Donald Trump anymore, who is actually the most powerful person in the world. Several allegations on their marital issues have been there since Trump’s first term in office from 2017 to 2021.
This is evident as Melania has been seen irritated multiple times, when she’s with her husband in the public. At Trump’s first inauguration in January 2017, former model didn’t have favorable facial expressions, and people saw changing it from a smile to to a frown after Donald Trump turned away from her direction during the ceremony.
In May 2017, Donald Trump reached out to hold Melania’s hand at the time of their walk on the tarmac of Israel’s Ben Gurion airport. But as per things caught on camera, stated she was batting her husband away. This moment went viral hugely resulting in several memes, however, Melania reasoned to do that, asserting the presence of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara Netanyahu, at the airport.
“The red carpet simply could not accommodate four of us abreast,” Melania wrote about the moment in her self-titled 2024 memoir, per Metro. “It was a minor, innocent gesture, nothing more.”
And next, during the second presidential term of Donald Trump, Melania hardly came into the spotlight, however, she was seeing joining her husband for the funeral of the late Pope Francis on April 26 at the Vatican.
Next, Melania Trump, made a rare appearance at the White House on May 8 for a Mother’s Day reception. There was also Donald Trump who stood beside her in the East Room as she thanked him for his “kind words” before she gave a speech about motherhood.
