King Charles does have a decent bond with the children of Prince William and Kate Middleton, who are Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte, but the same isn’t the case with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who are the children of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Reports state that King Charles is devastated by the fact that he barely sees or converses with his two youngest grandchildren, and he blames Prince Harry for the same, for putting up the royal feud and reconciling bigger issues than not making it easy to move on, and get along with the whole family.
This is partly considering the things he consistently says about the royal families, especially in the interviews, and also regarding his ongoing request for additional security when his wife, along with his kids, comes back to the U.K.
King Charles significantly blames his son, Prince Harry, for not making reconciliation easy. An insider stated to some sources that – “The King does not like conflict and he would love for this all to be resolved.” However, despite this, King Charles is not going to be a pushover, and the insider stated that – “Harry has to earn the trust back.”
The insider further stated – “The ball is in his court in that respect, and the King loves his son and he is very sad he has not spent any time with Archie and Lilibet, but Harry hasn’t made reconciliation easy.”

Prince Harry recently appeared in a bombshell BBC interview, which came after he was unable to win his court battle over the security. Concerning the fact that he “forgave” his father and wants to reconcile, because he isn’t aware of how much time his father has left amid his cancer battle. He stated that – “I don’t know how much longer my father has, he won’t speak to me because of this security stuff. It would be nice to reconcile.”
However, things aren’t clear among us that if King Charles really wants to see Prince Harry as the insider told the reporters and said that the monarch is “frustrated and upset” over the fact that Prince Harry publicly airs the private family matters and has eventually made the family reconnect again
“He needs the world to forgive him. His family has never bent on their stance, which is that he should not take up issues in public,” another insider told Hello!, adding, “There is zero trust. The family feels that private conversations with Harry are not possible.”
The Sussexes have been to Canada, Germany, Jamaica, Nigeria Colombia. As per an article in the New York Times, published on May 11th, Ed Owens, a famous royal historian, is of the view that this ongoing family feud has severely attacked King Charles, who is primarily described as having “had the wind taken from his sails.”
He further reflected that this could cast a long shadow over the King’s reign and said, “There is an overhang in the way we see Charles’ reign. It hasn’t really gotten going, nor are we sure how long it will last.”
