Donald Trump has been ruling America like no other president since his return for the second term. The political scenario in the country is like a hot piping pot of soup; the more ingredients you add, the more it will change the taste of it and make it worse. It’s like too many cooks (we mean decisions) spoiling the broth kind of situation.

Trump, who first rose to power in 2016, has been known for his radical style of governance, with many implying that America is shifting towards becoming an authoritarian style of leadership after the 78-year-old’s arrival. However, many people are unhappy due to his erratic policies, homophobic statements, among other problematic things. Regardless, media reports claim that Donald Trump is still eyeing another term of rule.

Presently, the 22nd Amendment of the American Constitution states that “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.” This act was enacted in 1951 after former president Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected four times.

However, if the rules get changed, he shall be able to run for another term, but this time alongside tough competitors since other former presidents would also be able to participate in the amendment of the act. Yet, certain other inevitable causes might hinder Trump from fulfilling his dream.

As per The Irish Star, insider sources claim that owing to Trump’s age, he might pass away before being able to amend the constitution to run for a third term. 78-year-old Trump was the same age as former president Joe Biden in 2021 when he ran for his second term.  Considering Joe Biden’s decision to step down from the elections and pass on the legacy to Kamala Harris owing to his old age, people are not very sure where Mr. Trump would be in terms of his well-being in three years.

Moreover, author Michael Wolf, who spoke to numerous government insiders for his explosive ‘All or Nothing’ book around Trump’s second rise to power, told The Telegraph that the ‘Make America Great Again (MAGA) Movement’ would not be the same without Donald Trump’s presence and his fierce personality.  Wolff claimed, “It will end because Donald Trump will die. He’s 78 years old; it’s safe to say he will die.”

Furthermore, Trump has also faced scrutiny over his health. For instance, several sources have revealed that Trump’s health has started deteriorating, and he’s allegedly begun showing early signs of dementia (a mental illness). A few weeks earlier, a clip of him struggling to read was posted on X (formerly Twitter).

In the clip, Trump incorrectly pronounces the word “patron saint” by instead saying “patriot saint” and then later repeating it once again. In addition, popular psychotherapist Dr. John Gartner agreed in an interview that Trump’s motor skills have begun to slow down with age. His conduct also shows rigidity and not being capable of communicating several things.

This may explain his recent meltdown when a reporter asked him about the ongoing investigation of the Signal chat leak. He scolded the reporter and asked her not to ask it again. In several media interviews, his physical health also seems to weaken; earlier, he was fit and maintained a graceful posture, but now he is often seen slouching.

Dr. John Gartner came to the conclusion that maybe because of dementia, both the brain and the body are not working well. However, nothing has been confirmed by Trump or the White House authorities. Whether Trump is serious about truly running for other terms remains uncertain, as his will for a total return to power could be seen as an overreach of authority.

Also, author Michael Wolf further emphasized that Vice President JD Vance, a potential successor as per media reports, is unlikely to take over if Donald Trump’s health deteriorates and he’s unable to function.
