JD Vance recently shared a few words about Elon Musk, and the Tesla billionaire unveiled his reaction on X (formerly Twitter). The Vice President recently made an appearance on the Joe Rogan show. While conversing with the host, Vance commented, “You can say a lot of things about Elon Musk, but you can’t say he’s a dumb–s..”
The two shared a laugh, and Rogan chimed in, “You get dunked on by one of the smartest guys alive.” The 15 second clip from the show went viral online, and Elon Musk himself reposted it on his X timeline. He captioned it, “Lmao,” an internet language which means laughing my a– off.

On May 20, the Tesla owner reposted it on his X, and at the time of writing this article, it had already reached a whopping 16 million views. The internet had a wild reaction to this indirect exchange between Vance and Musk, the two most important figures standing beside Donald Trump at the moment.
One X user commented, “Vance is amazing. I knew that Elon’s charisma could not leave him alone, but this turn of events is unexpected even for me. One thing: Vance put on a suit, as if he were the perfect example of the White House. And here T-shirts, sneakers, and complete.”
Another quipped, “Even the VP can attest to the fact that Kemius Maximus [Elon Musk’s X username] is funny.” A third added, “The most entertaining outcome is the most likely.”

“It’s like watching people trying to troll J. K. Rowling. You’re not going to outsmart and outtalk a true master of the language,” one person wrote. “Did y’all just become best friend,” another commented following this playful, subtle exchange between Vance and Musk.
Earlier this year, when a wild rumor spread through the walls of the White House, Vance came to Elon’s rescue. There were speculations that Trump was utterly dissatisfied with the SpaceX owner’s work, and he was reportedly set to exit the administration. However, during a Fox News interview, Vance completely shut down the wild rumors. “First of all, that report I saw was total fake news,” the Vice President said referring to the article which first covered it.
In March, a clip of Vance allegedly criticizing Musk was circulated through various social media platforms. However, it has since been debunked as fact-checks revealed that it was indeed a fabricated clip. As the Vice President and the DOGE head respectively, JD Vance and Elon Musk likely share a close relationship, especially with their similar ideologies including super breeding.
The tech mogul is on a mission to fix the declining birth rate with his own “legion of kids” while the VP himself has declared that he would like more kids in America.
