Donald Trump Had A Wild Coffee Moment in Saudi Arabia

Donald Trump received a warm welcome in Saudi Arabia, marking his first-ever overseas trip in his second term. But he had a moment with a coffee cup, which has given rise to some wild conspiracy theories on the internet.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud gave the American President a royal welcome with an elaborate ceremony featuring escorts on horseback for the Beast, military might, and a royal purple carpet.

In addition, the national anthems of two nations were played as Trump chatted with the Saudi Crown Prince. The Republican leader donned a purple tie for the special visit. After the formal introduction, an elaborate coffee and tea ceremony took place.

Donald Trump, who, as we all know, does not drink coffee, accepted the cup. However, he placed the cup on his lap and didn’t even take a sip of the beverage. While the other Saudi and American officials all drank their drinks, the American President silently sat there with his miniature cup, awkwardly looking around.

However, this moment has now sparked some wild conspiracy theories on social media platforms. Some were concerned, while others felt that his refusal to drink coffee had a different reason.

Many people think that he was scared that he would be poisoned. “After three attempts on his life, how can you blame him?” one person commented.

“Could be possible poison. Secret service tells him not to consume anything given to him without being tested,” another wrote.

A third added, “He has to be super careful about ingesting anything not produced by his team, or in a kitchen that has been secured by the Secret Service with vetted people working there etc.”

Others, however, emphasized that he only refused to drink the coffee because he prefers his favorite Diet Coke over caffeine.
“He doesn’t drink coffee,” one person wrote, as the other echoed, “President doesn’t drink coffee.”

“Maybe he doesn’t like it or simply wasn’t feeling like a cup of coffee at that time,” another person wrote. “You have to really like that coffee. It is so strong,” a third wrote. “If they had offered a Diet Coke, then the response would have been different,” the next person told.

It is important to note that it’s a tradition in Saudi Arabia to offer coffee to guests. It is a symbol of welcome and respect. During Trump’s visit, the crown prince and the other officials were served tiny cups of coffee under large portraits of the Saudi royal family.

Before jetting off to Doha, Qatar, and then Abu Dhabi, the U.S. President spent Tuesday and Wednesday in Saudi Arabia.
